Save a lot of eyesights,it always runs out when I'm in my boxers, I will really use it In winter aswel, probably still start it in boxers though!

Well good to hear the genny with extra gas is working for you.

I use about 8 liters each 24 hours.

That is toyhauler 2 fridges ice maker and coffee maker.

i have the honda 2000 generator with a boat gas can beside. i bought the set up on ebay. They sell them at honda extreme in edmonton as well. The honda has a fuel pump so it works well. i run mine non stop at bvj last year, last 2 1/2 days with some to spare. It doesn't matter where you sit the tank as it draws from it, not gravity fed.

I thought that is what he was trying to do on a 3000. I posted about the fuel pump. Sorry it was Sirkdev trying the 3000.

So I have been researching this. It looks like your statement is true Doorfx. The 1000 and 2000 have a pump which creates a vacuum in the fuel tank so you can mount the tank on the ground as the vacuum will lift the fuel. The 3000 does not have a pump so the fuel supply needs to be higher or slightly above the top of the generator. Start a syphon from tank to genset with primer bulb and you are set.

So far my parts list is

portable boat fuel tank
replacement cap for generator with tapped fitting for fuel hose
fuel line with a primer bulb

Let me know if I am missing anything...
