Seams like comming up with ideas to make a sled better would be easier than this. Most things I would come up with would make the sled cost more than id be willing to pay, but I think there has to be a better way to make a skid than the same old torsion spring/scissor/dual shock set up. It seams like if you make a change to keep the skis on the ground, the rear end sags down too much. And if you set it up to eliminate sag then the sled transfers too much.
The traditional running board could use some game changer design. Bigger snow clearing openings and super thick running board rails like the Freeride.
I second the seat storage idea.

i agree with the coil springs. any extra snow weight etc they seem to sag down. i think using a better transfering skid design with some good hpg coil overs ( dont care for air anymore ) would be excellent

Seat storage, better venting. I'm on motor #4, 2 cranks and 1 top end, already bit the dust but who cares, when it breaks just build it bigger and better. Twit

I was thinking better factory venting as well but i doubt if we will see it as it would make noise emissions standards tougher to meet.

I wish they were more reliable!! I'm on the 3rd motor and 2nd crank and i have 3000 miles!! I used to ride a '99 polaris 700 RMK and I got 4500 miles out of the first crank and 8400 miles out of the first motor....

its not a design flaw its called maintenance.

???????? wow how narrow minded. You cant service that part, without engine dis-assembly. BRP states it very clear. That is a design flaw.
Also the fact that major bulkhead parts bend before that a-arms is a flaw, that should be addressed.
with other obvious ones stated earlier like the venting the poor clutch alignment, and really poor rear suspension.

Ok, lets start with the FREERIDE, and maybe a 1000cc,( that works )?? Having the option with shocks, bar's and riser's, skies and seat out of the box, and yes, BETTER BOARDS !!!!! a larger fuel tank would also be very nice, hey, while i am at it, TEAM secondary, track, and do i dare say TURBO ??:rolleyes:

no.... I don't have a new engine design.... but I'm not the one building them. Why is it that they used to be dependable and now they aren't. I'm not saying that BRP is any better or worse then any other brand, I just wish they were a tougher motor..... they seem to have lost that! I would even add a few pounds to make them tougher.... but thats just my opinion....

i agree. any brp motor ive had go on me was well overdue. i realize some go well before they should and it really sucks. but i dont want to get into that debate because like you mentioned most 2 stroke manufacturers cant hold them together not just brp.

ok so 5000km comes around motor comes apart and maintain it. its time anyways.

bulkhead bending? my cousin hit a rock with his rev chassis and it took out his bulkhead while the a-arm stayed straight. its not just the xp chassis. ever seen a trailing arm sled hit a rock? once the rear mount bends its fawked.

stop hitting stuff

poor clutch alignment? 2008 was 3 years ago these issues have been addressed im on belt #1 with 2600km

the rear suspension isnt poor but there is room for improvement forsure

your such an angry person LOL
