I broke a 2012 shaft on a 2013 sled with a boondocker turbo @ 9psi, 163x3 track and 7 tooth extorvert drivers. I have a 2013 shaft with clamps and new extroverts coming. Am I crazy to try this set up? What are some options? I have heard rumours of guys rebuilding and reinforcing the 2012 shafts, but have yet to talk to someone who has done it.

P.S It's still on the original quick drive belt!

Mind you I ran a 2012 with a 174x3" with 13lbs of boost and never had an issue for 1500 miles.

Playing in the trees (wet, heavy snow) went WOT to point it uphill and zing! The shaft came out of a used stock machine and I don't no how many miles were on it. I put about 400 miles on it.

Went back to a 2013 shaft (dealer put it though under warrenty). Put a clamp on each side, hopefully it holds!
