I agree the refs really put their whistles away for here and there in this one, and it was a good game both teams showed great emotion and rivalry

Enjoyed the game but the showboating by Subban I can do without. I hate it when a Bruin does it too, such as Lucic chest thumping after scoring an empty net goal, this isn't the NBA or NFL.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why Boston won't put someone in front of the net to screen Price? It's obvious to me that is the way to score goals (against any goalie really) and standing off to the side isn't going to get it done. Oh well, maybe tomorrow night they'll get their **** together and put a full 60 minutes on the ice.

This series is a long ways from being over, Boston wins tomorrow they regain home ice and I believe they will put a better effort on the ice in game 4.

I just don't get how the NHL/ref determine what kind of game to call? Last night was brutal for non-calls on both sides compared to previous games. IMO call the infractions according to the rule book every time otherwise what is the point of the rule book?

No kidding, watch the next game, they will probably call everything. Consistency is not a strong suit of these refs in the playoffs.

as a fairly impartial person (yes I like boston but they are not my team) yes bad non calls went both ways but the last 10 mins of the third they missed like 5 strait calls on montreal, worst of which was suban knocking the net off....he shoulder checked it ffs' you have to call that.

Even Cherry has been lambasting the refs as of late. They need to get there act together.

There was a play not too long after the start of the game where Subban had one of the Boston players pinned up against the boards and he didn't have the puck. The play was going down into the Boston end and he wouldn't let him go. I was screaming for a penalty but of course, nothing was called. Lots of trips, holds, clutching and grabbing going on last night, some rough stuff too, IMO, all that does is send them all a message that you can play how you want and they won't call anything unless it is really blatant.

I didn't get a chance to watch the Hawks/Wild game, how was that one as far as reffing goes?

................. Consistency is not a strong suit of these refs in the playoffs.

Nor, of the LInesmen! I know it is picky, but look at how they call the icings! Some of them blow the whistle as soon as the puck crosses the icing line, others can wait until the puck is through the corner and all the way past the goal net. Not a big deal but add up those seconds and I am sure Gaborik's 19:53 goal may not have been an issue.

Every year it is the same. As we get deeper into the rounds, the referees doo get better as they definitely weed out the poorer ones.

Go Habs, Go Kings, Go Rangers, Go Chicago.........just saying!

When will the CBC get rid of Bob Cole...........he is brutal!

His rant at the end of the game about the Rangers pretty much losing the next game and being finished was totally uncalled for. Yes, Pittsburg is head and shoulders above the Rangers and are now rolling but Bob Cole has to go......IMHO

I don't watch much hockey anymore but for me Harry Neale and Bob Cole were the sound of hockey growing up.

I never liked listening to Bob Cole from the get-go! IMHO, he hasn't got the feel for the game, can't remember players names, and is always about a pass or two behind.

A typical call of his, ".......the play is called on the off-side. Just a minute, it wasn't off-side. Seems to be a penalty called....."

I totally agree FS. I was thinking the exact same thing last night.

If the Bruins win tonight (and I believe they will), they will finish of the Habs at the Belle in game 6.
