glad the refs finally opened their eyes! For a while I thought things never changed and they were on the Boston payroll again! Great win for the Habs!

Great game, bruins payed really well, and took it to them as everyone knew they would, Price was the difference , he don't care about the Vezina, got his eyes on a bigger prize

Coming from a Canuck fan, I find that pretty hilarious, bitter much? lol

Bruins had their chances and should have won it in regulation, 2 posts hit and Iginla misses a wide open net. Price won that game for them, otherwise it ends up being a blow out.

Oh well, we'll get them tomorrow in game 2.

Boston pretty much carried the game, look at the disparity in shots. Tough to win a series like that but a hot goalie has gotten teams through it before...

Canuck fan yes - bitter no! Watching the game and seeing sticks in the head, hip checks that should have been called, grabbing, head hunting the list goes on. If you feel good to win with favourable calls then keep on cheering. LOL

boston definitely took it to the Canadians, but price is hot and as much as I hate to say it, that may be the difference. boston should have had that game but unless he cant see the puck you cant get it past him

I've watched just about every playoff game (dvr is a wonderful thing) so far this year and you obviously have not. Every team in the playoffs does this **** and gets away with it, it's not just Boston so you need to start paying attention to other teams instead of focusing strictly on Boston. You cried about it during the Canucks/Bruins SC finals series and have not stopped whining about it since so yeah, you're still bitter.

Looks like most everyone else agrees with me, Boston had them spinning in circles and shouldn't have lost that game but Price stood on his head and won it for them, it's not like Boston didn't try to win so I can live with that.

to the contrary I have watched a lot of hockey lately of other teams since Canucks are not in :( Anyway, just rattling your chain here so don't take it too hard. I guess Canuck fans are jealous as we can't seem to get the breaks from the refs like a lot of teams can. By the way, it is not just my observation as there has been a lot of media articles on this very same issue. Anyway, good luck to your team. You will need it. Also, stay classy! Some fans went overboard yesterday!

How did I not see that coming.

At least they didn't burn the city down. ;)

I'm not worried about Boston getting past Montreal, I'm more worried that one of their key players will end up getting injured.

"Favouritism" always seem to apply to the other team. I have never heard anyone complain that the team they were cheering for was getting all the desired calls.

As for the game, I thought MTL looked better than BOS till at least the mid way point. After that they came on strong, but as mentioned Price stole the show. Should be one of the more exciting series to watch this year.

Bruins have always played like that , there are a few gifted players there, but they use their size to punish the other teams, not skill imo

Olympic gold , gave him his mojo back, he had lost it somewhere after he won gold in the world juniors, playoffs always require a hot goaltender, you don't get anywhere without one, if he stays on his game, and he sees the puck 98 percent of the time it ain't going in, watch for boston to get in his face tomorrow, the saving grace for Price is that he don't take chit from anyone in his crease, he's a big kid himself at 6'3 215 pounds, and for a big guy the only guy equal to his agility in the league is J. Quick in L.A
