Hey guys and gals... I've been off here for a few years but anxious to get back on and start sleddin' again this winter. I'm in the market for a new sled and it pretty much has to be boost'd. I'm coming off an 08 Nytro with a "not-so-good kit" so a little sour taste in the mouth to start with. Loved the sled itself but obviously a tad heavy for the Boon docking and tree-playing we all do. I'm leaning towards Doo or Poo with either Aero charger or BD kits.... What are your thoughts on either kit from personal preference ??? Now I don't need the trash talking that usually goes along with these threads, just honest opinions and facts !!! :) Pro and cons would be nice. Amount of boost and what fuel preferences. Av gas or Race gas ??? Was stock track enough for the extra power ??? How did the suspensions hold up in the steep and deep ??? Thx guys RN.

Are you talking about brand new sleds ie. 2014 pro vs 2014 XM? Boondocker is unproven on the etec's but the aero has a good rep, the TSS kit has a better rep. All the kits seems to work well on the Pro it is a simpler sled to boost as the engine management system is less complicated.

Either sled is a good with boost. But make sure whatever kit you buy it has a boost it box with it! It's one of the easiest programmers to tune with, it's Canadian and NM on here is one of the best ppl for support! But in a real opinion save yourself the money and time and just buy a TSS kit for the doo or a boost it for the pro! It's all gonna come down to what chassis your more comfortable on!

Hey Murray!

I would go boost it on a pro, or TSS or aerocharger on an XM. Dont think you can go wrong either route.

Pick the chassis you like the feel of and go TSS for the Doo and Boost-it for the PRO. Cant go wrong with either, they both haul azz

Hey RN, welcome back to the sled world. If you have any questions about our turbo kits, then let me know.
We just removed a pretty much new HM turbo kit from a Pro to put one of ours on. I can ask the customer if he still has it if your interested.

Thanks,

Neil

Don't know much about the boosted pros but the few I seen run last year were not impressive, doos 872, 880s were abusing them to say the least

Doos turbos work much more efficient with their etec engine and produce bigger hp per lb of boost, TSS and Aerocharger both work good, but one is cheaper, do your homework

kits are all getting very defined and bugs have been worked out, but something that will add fifty percent more power to your sled will also give more grief, knowing and understating your fuel controller and installing your kit can only help you threw these times

ran into a few guys that had issues last year, had no clue on fuel controller and no dealer support, kits were useless... BoondockerBoondocker

I'm totally not an expert by any means, but I've had experience on Boosted Pros. I know the 11 and 12s can be a bit of a bugger with the TPS, creating frustration when you figure you're chasing a boost leak, but no.. the Throttle Position Sensor is out of whack again.
I've rode strong boosted Pros, Reid Hedlund's the boondocker Canada Distributor is a class act. Full of Knowledge his dealers should know what they are doing for install, and tuning, and be able to convey that message forward.
Buying a boosted system is like getting married. Don't jump in and expect everything to be happily ever after. Make sure you have the patience for tuning, and the desire to fully understand your system, and Access to Race Gas. Start with a quality product, and professional install, this will make all the difference in the world.
You sound like you know what you are getting into. Neil and his Boost it systems again, a top quality product and a class act all around.
I've seen the TSS boys in action at the Meteor Mine hillclimb, and they simply Rocked it.
Good luck Raspberry Nytro

PRO with a HM turbo

He already had a "not so good kit"
Read his first post

I had a 12 pro with HM kit.... Was ok, now ride a Boost-it pro
Have to go with Boost-it or TSS kits

Thx Neil. I saw a really sweet sled last year online somewhere with your kit. Looked really tricked out Pro.
I will definitely give you a call or drive up to chat when I'm back home at the end of Oct. Are you at the Edm show ???

we would have liked to been there again, but we are really busy so no time. The Vipers should be rolling in soon and we have quite a few booked for full builds.
We are just over an hour from Airdrie, so if you feel like going for a drive when you get home, then I will get you directions.

Thanks

Like has been said TSS or Aerocharger for doo,, Boost-it for pro. Just a question for the HM crowd (cause I am very interested in the VIPEC stand alone) What is the kit running for an intercooler?? thanks:beer:

Or I guess a better way of asking is; What upgrades are done to the fuel system with the HM kit?

Thanks. Does it have aux Injectors? or does it rely on the stock fuel system??
No aux injectors. Stock injectors will run a pump gas kit up to about 7lbs boost. Larger injectors will run a pump gas kit as well but allows you to use av gas up about 10lbs.
