but why would the ski doo need a turbo? this guy maxwell on snow and mud says they're the best? had to take a poke, hoping to meet you crazies this winter and get a ride in, at the very least a beer for the entertainment, trying to talk my buddy into slamming this on his freeride but he and I are the same when it comes to the liking the whole pull and go of a basically stock machine, may be limited to certain pulls and types of riding depending on conditions but he and I rode our scrap steel every ride all year trouble free and that counts more than the two amazing rides the modded up guys tend to hang on to IMO, unless you're exceptionally good with the mechanics of a 2 stroke or have piles of money around or time off to not worry about missed days, I have a hard time seeing why guys go all out on mods unless they have that perfect setup. Mind you when the end of this season comes and we're ready for new or rebulds were both talking big bores, turbos seem too touchy, very limited mechanics that can set them up correct from what I've seen

trouble free turbo's are out there, of the turbo's that i know i think they only missed a couple days all season. so if they are installed correctly and people are willing to due the extra little maintance that goes along with them they can run quite trouble free.

You got that right,, Its the extra time in the install that will make or brake the season. But most times people dont take the time or dont want to pay for the extra time for a trouble free turbo kit and install. When done right they are trouble free no doubt. I sell them and install them and RUN THEM and they have one of the best kits out there.

they will all be stock....
at least that is what he will tell us anyways....

I have heard of a few places install them correct, I have just seen a lot that don't but that's due to the lack of reputable shops in my area, also for the guys like me that work in the patch, we only get a few days a year, so any day missed is painful, only put a combined 1500km between my sleds last year and most locals think I had a great year, if I knew I could get one and have it be altogether trouble free I'd already have one, but until I find the time I'll just ride the 2 pull and go

seen this thing go last june. boondocker brought a 2012 m8 turbo, dan adams pro turobos, and i belive there was a turbo etec there as well.......never rode the etec, but heard many guys saying it was the fastest sled there. was pretty impressive to watch as well. the intercooler was located in the same spot, and like i said it was in june so lots of motor heat as well air temps were around 20 degrees.didnt seem to be slowing it down at all!!!!!

I was on that ride as well. Got to ride every sled there, and yes the etech did pull the hardest on top for sure. Not that nice on the bottom and midrange though. Jared said that they were still working on fueling and a few other things to clean that up though. I imagine they got it worked out if they are releasing it to the public though. I would have to ride the production kit before buying one of these though. He did say the skidoo electronics were alot harder to work around than the other sleds.

If it were me, I would go pro or proclimb. That proclimb went like a scalded cat.....and it was running around 9-10lbs if I remember correctly on pump gas! The new cat chassis is awesome. I have always like cats, just hated the M chassis. If you like the doo chassis, you will like the proclimb.

ya deaner i think that m8 was runnin 9 lbs.......the second i managed to look down on it thats what it said at least.....straight 91........that sled was soo much fun!!!!!!
gonna turn a lot of doo riders green!!!!!!

Im interested, but i think ill wait for the 2013 sleds first, but man i would love to try one of these kits out this year...... Also from the pics its looks like leave your e starts at home boys, no room for the battery.

I think the battery will still fit. The turbo takes up less space then the factory muffler.
