Glad you decided to replace both, it is the best call in the long run bud. So when are we going for a ride. Line up the boys and lets see if we can get a bit of a run in?

I hate to tell you this but it looks like you put one piston in backwards. LOL.

It did look like that mag side arrow was backwards Pipes. Good eye!!! Maybe it was just the pic.
Those pics bring back a lot of memories of the old 720 days we changed out a piston once on the hill and had to use the old needles, just froze some luberplate and lined the rod with it and it held the bearings in place till we got the wrist pin in. wouldnt recommend, but it worked.

It is just the pic.... Both pistons have arrows pointing toward the exhaust manifold...I was very careful about that. Bearings were not bad...I ended up installing both pistons and cylinders on my own, bearings are plastic cased, pull the outer casing off and then use the wrist pin to push out the inner casing...went slick as snot on a doorhandle....

Dale....thinking about hooking up with the wednesday night ride boys for a nice break in ride, didn't get out today as I was hoping...

Watch if it has cageless needle bearings on the wrist pin. I know there are 28 needles on my rev, not sure if there all the same. You do not want to drop any down in to the crank case. Good luck and keep us posted.

When you go to take the piston off, seal the case with a rag or something to catch all the needles from the wrist pin bearing. Count them when you get them out, you don't want one in the bottom when you fire it up. I believe there is 28 needles, if I remember correctly. When you put it back together, just put caged bearings back in.
