This is good to know I have 3 days booked this week thing i will try the Ramada instead. Closer to town and within walking distance of other eating choices.

Can't wait to read your Ramada review!!! Unless they dumped a ton of cash into it, you'll be suprised:eek:

The dog I understand... but why they let you stay there I'll never figure out....

I've stayed at the BW with the family and our dog. it's a nice place and we had no trouble with having the hound there, the rule about not leaving them unattended is because of dogs that constantly bark when left alone and has always been in effect. our dog is a standard poodle and does not shed, and never barks...he is a pleasure to travel with, and cannot be left in a kennel because he gets stressed out and stops eating. we have left him with family and friends before but sometimes it is not an option and we must bring him along. I appreciate hotels like the BW for allowing our pet to stay with us, I will continue to stay there with my family.

I can't wait to hear the Ramada review either!! I have stayed at both hotels and the Best Western is BY FAR the better choice.
Just one question....where is the common area and fireplace at the Ramada????????

ROTFLMAO!!! I can tell for sure you are a great owner:beer::beer::beer:
I was a great owner for many years we only stayed at freinds place because of our dog. dog is toast now and love the freedom, I was also known as Ceaser right hand man on his show. lol.
so many times do we see bad dogs because owners do not know how to handle them and think they do just like there kids. thats why we get so many sh1t heads in society.

We have never stayed there but it sounds pretty yucky. Until all hotels are cigarette free I don't see a problem with pets. I have two basset hounds and the smell from them won't linger in the bedding and matresses and walls like cigarettes will, it sucks that they took out the common room but a lounge isn't always a bad thing. There's a place for kids just as there is for pets. I left my dogs with family, the same as people can do with kids if they don't like booze.

I agree. I am very allergic to dogs. just because it isn't in the same room as me doesn't mean it can't effect me. your dog has walked through the halways and other places. There is air circulation that can go through vents from one room to another. Even if your dog was to walk past me and lick my hand or something. I would break out into rash. Pets should not be aloud into closed public spaces unless its a dog show or pet shop.

They sale cream for rashes, and are not to expensive. LOL It's not our problem. Bring our dogs everwhere also.

Beautiful intelligent response, and then you'll wonder what could possibly be the problem when the little nut licker gets a lead pill sent his way.

I understand peoples concern with dogs not being allowed in hotel rooms common area's etc.....

But sometimes there are circumstances in which they have to be there.. My wife and I foster a dog who will one day be a "Service dog". We have to take him every where we go, restaurant, grocery store etc.. Some people do have circumstances in which the dog may have to be in the same hotel as you at that time or public place for that matter.

If the managment of that busniness allows pets to stay at their place of business no matter what the circumstances are, that is their choice to make and not ours. We have the choice to stay, eat or spend our money at that that business.

Thats my 2 cents.

Maybe the dog lovers are on to somthing take dog sledding with you, if you ever get stranded on the mountain overnight eat the dog not bad idea, last time i checked vacation was to get away from everything not worry about anything not put dog sweater on and mittens to walk around parking lot at nite wizzing on my tires, i hate all hotels that don't let cats, chickens ,or any other barnyard animal because after i strike out in the loose moose with the locals least i would have my trusty pet waiting for me.

I agree. If your going on a vacation give your pet one at a kennel. Ive stayed in a hotel with a barking dog at 2am because the owner was still at the bar. If they are equal then buy one of those trailers on skis and take them with you riding.

I have stayed in hotels only to be woken at 2am by couples fighting, having sex, kids crying laud music and all sorts of other things. I am allergic to smoke and can tell you if a room has ever been smoked in or not. I still have to put up with it walking down the street, or passing it in hallways. But i don't complain because its your choice and you paid for the room. Just as if i bring my dog and pay for a pet room I am entitled to do so. Maybe you should just leave your kids in the car so i can get a good night sleep. The wife to if your going to be fighting. Our dog is huge part of our family and he comes with everywhere we go.
Just sayin...

Plz save yourself and stop posting if youcant see that the fact in his first sentance he reinforces how valuable his business is to he best western by stating he has been staying there for ten Years in a town that spear even exist. Spelling or not this story already has no relevance and I'm having an extremely hard time feeling any sympathy whatsoever. Perhaps if there room caught on fire we would have something to discuss. Dogs on a hotel room is a no brained. Remember hotels have a standard to live up too and barking chittimg pizzing dogs are not part of thebest western franchise contract

Are you or have you ever been the employee of the month at a BestWestern? A share holder perhaps? Or just a booster?

Lock your dog and wife in the car and see who is more happy to see you at the end of the day.

They never took out the Common area, they just dont want dogs in common area. Which i think is fine , bring your dog to your room call it good. Now if you are in a circumstance where you have a Service Dog, that is a completely different story. As for the lounge i dont beleive the 7pm no kids allowed until i actually see it,i can understand 9 cause you would think the little Fawkers would be sleeping or in the Pool well before then.

Plus why would they cut in to supper hours Most peopleonly eat at 6:00 6:30 Not 4:00

I know right when i get back i go and eat then im right in the Hot Tub for a few hours, usually done eating and in the hottub by 6 at the latest.
