OK Richelle I'm not sure how you got Jer to bite on this one but since he did i will give it a go.

1. I am not very articulate or a good speller as you will see. I thought you did pretty awesome actually... I still can't believe you posted!! You continue to surprise me!
2. I am questioning my sexuallity as i post this.....just kidding I have always had my doubts about you!!
3 I am rarely serious. I am ALWAYS serious, especially about#2... bahahahaha!
4 My favorite color is blue but deffinatly not Yammi blue Just had to get that in there, huh?!?
5 I am addicted to sledding, if you don't believe me ask my wife. I know. Me too!! How did that happen???
6 I am 34 years old but rarely act more than 20, again my wife can attest to this. I know this too... I spent a week with you in Nakusp, remember?!? In all seriousness, this is one of the things I enjoy about you and I can't say I act much older than 21...
7 My work is a job to me and nothing more i would seriously quit tomorrow if i could. Jer too- you guys need a 'get rich quick scheme'. Probably it should involve sledding
8 I am trully at home in the mountains, whether it is sledding, hunting, alone or with friends it seems like thats where i should be. When i drive through them my wife is constantly telling me to watch the road. I laughed when I read this- I can actually hear her voice in my head and imagine the look on her face and the shake of her head. I love Laura- she cracks me up!
9 I am already finding it hard to come up with things to write. You have 16 to go...
10 I rarely sit still at home and have a nagging urge that things need to be done. I think you and Jer were twins separated at birth!
11 I'm not romantic but not afraid to tell my wife that i love her. I love you two together- just the right mix
12 My kids are my life, if anyone ever hurt them i would go to jail, there is no doubt in my mind. I'd bail you out and then help you kill someone again... slowly!

19 I was a little sh!t as a teenager and am lucky to have survived to 20. I totally believe it!
20 I breezed through highschool and was a constant distraction to others in class, when i showed up. You are still a distraction to many with your chit-eating infectious grin!!
21 Don't consider myself as an Albertan even though i have been here most of my life. Me too- born and bred in BC, just dont pay their ridiculous taxes
22 My dogs name is Diesel, I am going to buy a diesel but it won't be lifted nuff said. My dog is Diesel too- he needs a lift kit!

I'm not sure why I am doing this, but what the he11.
1) My kids are my life. First and foremost. I pity the fool who messes with them. (oops, a little too much A-Team as a kid, gotta love Mr. T)
2) I was a wild spirit in my younger days, but teaming up with a truly magnificent woman kinda cured that. kinda.
3) I love sledding, but my true addiction is camping and quadding.
4) I have an amazing job. It has afforded me the luxury of watching both my daughter's first steps, first words, first giggles. I get to kiss them goodnight every night.
5) Until I started my own company, I drove truck in the logging and oil industries right out of school. I still have the trucker's mouth to prove it.
6) I can come off as a bit arrogant if you don't know me, but once you do, I'm still a bit arrogant, but very much harmless.
7) My wife is a typical redhead, and we clash at times, but my love for her is so deep-seated that any spat we have only makes us stronger.
8) I love my shop, I spend many hours in it just tinkering.
9) Our circle of friends is a good one, wouldn't trade any of them for gold, well, maybe gold.
10) I would kill or die for my family.
11) I quit smoking 11 days ago, so I am going to follow Jeremy's lead, and buy something really expensive.
12) My wife doesn't care about flowers or jewelery, so birthdays and Valentines are a real bitch for me.

14) It was a very sad day for me when Bacardi quit making Ciclon rum.
15) I will be 39 this year, but most days I still feel 20. Today ain't one of those days.

17) The sound of kids laughing is the only drug I need.
18) The most euphoric feeling for me is sitting on a trail in the middle of nowhere covered in mud, surrounded by friends, and yes, drinking a beer.
19) I can only hope that I die with my boots on, not in a hospital bed.
20) Meeting and having a few beers with Bogger is on my to-do-list. He really does crack me up.
21) I truly believe that the love of a good woman and some great kids is all a person needs in life. A few toys is a bonus.

Ok, not sure how good I am at this but I just so happen to be a little slow at work today so I'll give it a whirl...

1. Born in Red Deer, grew up on an acreage in the Bentley/Rimbey area .. there isn't a day that goes by that I dont think about being back in the Sunset Hills/Blindman valley..or back on our acreage.. I drive by it once in a while ..brings a tear to my eye..

2. By day I appear to be a busy, downtown business girl..you would see me crossing jasper ave in high heels and a blouse racing to catch a bus. By nights/weekends I am relaxed and you would probably find me in jeans and a T sittin in a local pub drinking beer and eating wings and watching the game, or ill be driving in my pickup truck with a couple dirtbikes in the back.

3. I am still a country girl at heart; and riding horses has always been my true passion.

4. I am a Daddy's girl; He raised me most of my life and tought me pretty much everything I know and stand for. I respect him more than any other person in this world.

5. Aside from dirtbikes, snowboarding & horses I am obsessed with cars..particularily hot rods, this is something I picked up from my father and I could name every damn car out there since I was 6 years old.

6. My dad's mint 79' Bronco & 85' Firebird were my favourite vehicles growing up..and probably some of the coolest rides you ever saw in either Rimbey or Bentley..I mean, aside from all the hillbilly pick up trucks...

7. My ultimate all-time favourite movie is Dazed and Confused... no wonder..great music and even better cars...and did I mention all the famous actors/actresses? (American Graffiti was alright too..)

8. The first REAL toy I ever got as a kid was a Honda Foreman quad, I begged my Dad to buy me a quad and he did but I think he secretly bought it for himself too

9. I am an Aries and I pretty much live up to everything it stands for I also share a birthday with Hugh Heffner

10. I always thought of myself as being the type of girl that was happy with my body and didn't let all the perfect fake models & celebrities in the media distract me from my self image......yet I still satisfied my slight urge to "enhance" my body to somehow perfect myself, and im not going to lie..it really did boost my self confidence...but i'm still far from perfect.

11. I didn't start drinking coffee and wine until recently..and now I am addicted.

12. I am an only child...kinda...I have 2 half sisters and 1 half brother.. 1 of my sisters I didn't meet in real person until last year.

12. I really am a "Horsepower Honey".. I love every kind of horsepower there is.

13. Yes, a sled is the next on my "toy" list..

14. I am artistic, but not very creative..

15. I love to travel, I travel as much as possible, where I can and when I can, whether I can afford it or not..

16. I really do believe at the age of (almost) 23 I have found "the one". Boyd really is my better half, we have been inseparable since the day we met and we enjoy everything we do in life together, and we've taught eachother a lot. He may be older, wiser, better with money and more experienced in life but I know I taught him a lot when it comes to love, happiness, health, and being all around better person. I think i knew he was the right one when my Dad said he was the right one.. I take my dads advice on almost everything.

17. I practice hot yoga, yoga is amazing for the body, soul and mind and its much more exciting and challenging than hitting the gym.

18. I am not religious, I have faith in what I believe in life, and there is no God or Church or Priest that can tell me what I should or shouldn't beleive in....there is too much bloodshed in this world over "religions" for me to have faith in any of them.

19. I have owned 10 vehicles since I was 16...

20. I'm not the greatest cook but I try, I also slack on any form of cleaning or organizing...that probably comes from the fact I was raised by a man.

21. I have never broken any bones, and I am scared of needles!

22. I do believe that 911 was a conspiracy, same goes with all the wars.

23. My favourite place to be is in the mountains, I do feel at home whenever I am in their presence and I hope to someday live surrounded by their majestic beauty.

24. I believe that at some point we all learn from our mistakes, so I dont regret much in life, other then hurting loved ones.

25. I beleive that we come to love, not by finding the perfect person... but seeing an imperfect person perfeclty..

Glad you shared!! There's something about this thread that makes you want to isn't there? There's been replies from people you never thought would and it's kinda heartwarming to see everyone taking the time and effort to share some things (25 points ) about themselves


It's nice to know a little bit more about the people we converse with almost daily, year after year ... I've learnt so much about other forum peeps who have posted on here and I find I'm fonder of every one of them

This was a kinda fun thing that went through Facebook a while back. I learned some kooky nd unexpected things about some of my closest friends. Thought it would be interesting here... You are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. I will go first and I guess if no one responds, you will all know more about me than I care to admit!!


1. I hate the phone.

2. I am clumsy. Always have been. I fell out of bed this morning.

3. I rarely read the newspaper or watch the news- its too depressing to watch how cruel we humans can be to each other.

4. My favorite place in the world is our acreage first thing in the morning. I especially love my acreage when I am surrounded by my dogs and horses. Other than that, I really don't like mornings...

5. The first thing Jer and I ever did together was dirtbiking. He kept smashing my helmet with his. Turns out he was trying to kiss me... I loved him then and I love him more now.

6. My favorite thing about my husband is the way he giggles when he is genuinely amused. It is a sound that makes my heart smile.

7. I used to think that when you are 32 (like me) you know who you are and what you are doing. If this is true, then I'm only 16!

8. I love the Food Channel. Jer hates it.

9. I am a good cook but I never know what to make. Its a curse.

10. My children are my whole world: they make me want to be better and do better. They think they need me, but the truth is that I can't live without them.

11. I think people who deliberately hurt children should be shot. Period.

12. I am a shy person- meeting new people terrifies me. This is something I have worked a long time to overcome, and it is my personal Mt. Everest.

13. I was once suspended from school for drinking at the Provincial Debating Championships. My parents didnt quite know how to punish the straight-A, captain, and coach of the Debating Team... I had a lovely 3 days off.

14. I am terrible at saying I am sorry.

15. I have a love-hate relationship with Photography. I hate taking photos because I get so nervous I could literally puke. I love looking at the photos later because I am always pleasantly surprised that I didnt tank the job...

16. Aside from my family, the greatest thing I ever did was going to Romania on a Medical Mission. I will go back over and over and over.

17. If I never married and had a family I would be a doctor and a missionary. Instead, I am a stay-at-home doctor whose missions involve laundry, groceries, appointments, gymnastics, pony club and so much more. My kisses are my medicine. Its a good life.

18. If I had a genie-in-a-lamp I would wish for: a housekeeper, a nanny, and more time in the day.

19. Both of my parents live with rare and debilitating diseases. From them, I have learned about courage and integrity. I have also learned to appreciate the gift of health and to celebrate the miracle that occurs each time my body moves for me and with me.

20. My favorite clothes are jeans and hoodies. I don't own pajamas.

21. I am a Daddy's girl. My father is an amazing man who has taught me what it is to be simple and humble and kind and accepting. My heart melts every time I witness my husband and daughters in this same tender relationship. I hope they will always love him just a tiny bit more than me.

22. As a parent, the greatest thing I can give my girls is wings. I pray continually that I will be a model to them of what a woman should be. I hope that from me they will learn to be independant and brave and adventurous and compassionate. I don't want them to see me as perfect, but I do want them to see me struggle and perservere and know that its okay to fall down and get back up again.

23. I have the disease to please- I am terrible at saying "NO". I am working on it.

24. I am addicted to excercise. And Lululemon clothing.

1) I met the man of my life 3yrs ago and we have been inseperable since. We keep eachother going everyday and I cant wait to marry him and have children and grow old together!
2)I come from a family with 8 children, I am the second oldest, I will be 20 soon the oldest is 23 and the youngest turned 8 on valentines day! The four youngest children are adopted, we were a foster family for 10 yrs.
3) This caused me to be very mature for my age
4) Im just over 6feet tall and have a 38" inseam! (Yes buying pants is ridiculously difficult!)
5) We love travelling, in fact I got back from mexico just this week! It was amazing, we r going back in may!
6) I always did well in school and was the very first person in my whole
extended family to graduate high school and go to college! (Graduating from Chemical Technology in april!)
7) I value family and friends so much. Growing up with a large family makes you very independent, but family means everything to you!
8) I love all animals! Especially my dogs and cats and i miss having horses
9) I moved to the city to go to college. And now that im soon done I cant for us to buy land and build a new house!
10) I LIVE FOR SLEDDING!
11) Next favorites would be camping (boating) and quadding
12) We got to the Big Valley Jamboree every year! (RIP Donna)
13) I love water sports however I am terrified to ski as I got hit by a boat a few years back when I had fallen and was in the water! Lucky to b alive today.
