How come I can get a smart phone cheaper then a beacon? It’s seems very low tech about as smart as a 8 track player, yet the cost is high

Make sure you take them in and get them function tested and updated, I know that Mammut beacons have this functionality. Especially if you're not buying from someone you trust. That or buy new to get the peace of mind that when you need to save someone's life your equipment doesn't limit you. Avalanche Safety Solutions in Golden, BC can do this for you.

Even a old beacon is better than no beacon .make sure u have all the gear and practice . I think beacons are cheap . Less than 2 belts

I found some top of the line gear used once for 60% off, patience really pays off!

The item I find really over priced is the avalanche airbag backpack. I can understand them being $300, but see many that cost $1000 to $1200, it is nothing high tech. Tomorrow I'm planning to go buy some new gear, beacons, shovels, probes, packs, goggles and helmets. By far the most expensive is the stupid airbag.

I read that wrong. I thought the title read, Best bacon price?
Haha well I bought Kirkland bacon in a bag at Costco before all this crazyness happened, it’s the best!!
I ended up getting 2 Barryvox Elements for next to nothing, only used once, does anyone still use those? Think they from 2017 stopped making them? They got green color Instead of red and 2 less functions

I have the green one, it seems to work good.

Sucks that people stoop to stealing safety equipment. Glad to read about you and your daughters adventures together. Riding with my sons has been the most awesome thing ever. I cherish every moment I get to do that.
