I have the Artic Cat stuff, the pants are great as they are bib style and water/windproof. The jacket is just a pullover outer shell and I wear what I want for layers depending on temp outside and such. Inexpensive and works for me so far.

Taped zippers are a must

Klim gear leaves you dry all day. The only problem though it does get chilly in the -20 range unless you get the Valdez line which my wife bought for me. Dry all day & warm also now.

IMO they have better style than the Klim stuff, and you are less likely to look exactly like the guy on the trailer over from you.

I thought like you and bought snow board gear (Special Blend) so I wouldn't look like every other guy on the hill. Then I bought my first Klim product now I know why "Everyone" wears it, warm and dry! Best gear worth the extra $. Don't rule out buying because of price. Look for last years stuff. I got my pants for $150.00 from Martin. I got Gloves from Spindrift at the end of the season.:d:beer:

Dont buy snow board Pants! I thought i would savemoney by doing that and i am cold and wet before i get up the trail. Klim is alot of money because it works the best!

I wear RPM gear from BRP and absolutely love it. The pants a high bib and super light weight. One of my riding partners bought the klim free style pants last year and regretted not getting ther bibs. Had FXR and Castle X previous and found that both would get wet and heavy. I't's been my experience with the gear is you get what you pay for. As someone said, go to the sled show early and if you see something you like, buy it. Don't say you'll look around and come back, cause it'll probably be gone.
