would love to see where they are going to find daycare for $10 a day.

Many voted because of the 10$ daycare promised - like it's not going to come out of a different pocket..Another NDP promise was 112000 affordable housing units ( like it is going to be free ) ya right Jobs and economy don't matter. The schools teach a David SUzuki mantra to indoctrinate into the NDP platform. God help us!!!

even $50 bucks won't get too much traction. My daughter just got hired for the summer to watch two kids at $21 per hr at their home. If it was a day care I am sure they charge more. Oh well I am glad my kids are beyond day care LOL

They don't, they find $50/day childcare then give the daycare $40/day from you and then tell people its only $10/day.

Don't get me wrong though, I like the idea of childcare at a reasonable cost, it does put parents back to work and earns more tax money for the government while getting some off of EI. But I think it should be a requirement for proof of employment for both parents during the times the children are at daycare so stay at home moms can't just get rid of their kids and go home.

Liberals will convince an NDP'er to cross the floor or vote in their favour, then boom majority

Well here goes,I'll probably get flamed for this but I like the idea of a minority government,I think party politics is a joke,a majority government is to easy to be bought by rich people and big business buying politicians getting money or perks for an agenda that may not be good for BC,I think all politicians should be independent and serve there riding not just toe the party line.My thought lean towards every riding elects a representative to go to Parliament and they pick a leader of the group,or we all get some form of voter I D and we all vote on laws and issues that government want to pass,if it's no interest to you than you don't have to vote but if it effects you then you have a say.It really sucks I have to vote for someone I think sucks or pick someone who doesn't have a chance and waist a vote, might as well not vote at all, pissis me ofI think crusty Clarke doesn't give a **** about me and my family, just keep big business and ethnic groups happy, plus make a **** load for herself, really a 300 thausand bonus for what creating part time jobs and low paying work,Like I said before I'm no ndper so what's a guy to do,I could rant longer but I hate typing.lol

On many points I think you hit the nail on the head, on so many issues political parties only give 2 options either black or white, there is rarely any compromise or middle ground to be found. On thing I would be interested to see would be proportional representation if the next BC government could pass it, it would definitely make it more worth while to vote for a candidate or party that has no chance at winning but would still possibly be able to influence government.

And I really like the idea to be able to vote on certain controversial topics before the decision is made, I know it would have made a difference in Alberta at least, I'm sure the whole Castle closure would have been stopped and we would be carbon tax free among other things.

Reasonable cost? I find it funny people spend 17k on a sled, 80k on a truck, 500k on a house but yet whine about the cost of someone else raising their kids.
You don't like the cost stay home and raise your kids.

FYI, subsidized childcare isn't designed for these people, its for families that can't survive without a second income, but pretty pointless to have a second income if all of it goes to paying childcare.

The "king" of solar power (largest solar panel producer) in Germany announced bankruptsy yesterday. That company was once worth 7000 (yes, seven thousand) euros ($10000CAD) per share. We are talking about a loss of 5 billion euros! This is called the official failure of german solar energy politics. Even generous government subsidies weren't able to keep it alive. You think we will have better success? I doubt it...

We do not even know yet if we will be heading into massive debt like Alberta. Everybody can see what is happening to you guys and yet we still vote NDP. Hey losers do the math...... Massive debt= a cut in social program=no welfare

So true , and that is why BC will always struggle ... sadly as the lefties and greenies take more and more power , the working man is in for a brutal future ...

BC is and never will be balanced, shall we say....
And that is sad ,became it has more potential, than any other place in Canada.
