All the buttons on the left side will work when locked. If you ever get a bunch of static the FM receiver button may have gotten pushed

True, but.

If you are tech savvy you can disable the second channel tx/Rx so it will also save on battery.

Also you can put in a 15/30s max transmission. To prevent the radio from being keyed forever by accident.

But do your guys bags not have any zippered internal pockets or what?

The default transmission time is 60 sec max setting is 10 minutes. This can be changed in the menu 9 . The radio will say time out when over limit. I am not sure if disabling channel B will really save any battery

Ordered 4 of these from Ray last week. Simple and easy with same day shipping. Our group currently run the 5W Rhino 650s that work good but the range on these is awesome!

Hi guys, I have sold 1/2 of the order coming in. To get on the list you need to send me an email with your mailing address and how many you want. It is getting too crazy trying to keep the FB messages, Tapatalk, S&M messages and text straight. Thanks

I have only been bringing in 50 at a time. 36 of the 50 are spoken for so get your order in if you are thinking on getting some. I will be reordering more next week.

Thinking of buying one just not sure about the antenna being so long. Any thoughts?

Ray changes the antennas to the longer ones for better range.
He probably can leave the short one on.

According to an earlier post they come with the stock antenna which is likely much shorter.

Comes with a shorter antenna, but the longer one has more range, and that's the idea with these, best range

It comes with the stock antenna also, that's all we have been using. Still get several km range with them. Ultimate range would be with the longer antenna, but that would be boulder cabin to downtown revy type range. If you are just looking for on mountain range, stock one is lots.
