Ill also add, when I go ride some random sled, be it Doo or whatever else. It never feels that great cause its not my sled and its not setup for me.

Very hard to form a real opinion of a sled unless you own the thing and ride it all the time IMO. Demo ride or borrowing a friend sled isnt the same thing.

No offence, but it seems like for most guys riding a BRP, all the setup needed to make most happy is the Summit sticker on the side.

I'm curious, how long did you own your Pro, so you could form your opinion??

Anyway, it doesn't matter. Back to comparing weight of different sleds

Well I had 2 dragons and a pro(ex wifes sleds)didn't really ever want any more polaris's after that.
Plus I never said they couldn't side hill, handle good, or couldn't handle nearly terrain. Just that they break down lots.haha

I have been on Doos since 96, maybe 2017 Ill be on a Cat? Doubt it though.

Well, I suppose if I based my opinion on my sled from BRP in '08, like you are with your dragons...

I've had 3 pros. Never any issues that wouldn't be chalked up to my own doings.

He does have a point, that the 12 and older 800 polaris had many many issues, even the ves 800 too

But 99% of stock, no fix kit dragons are a ticking time bomb, the 11-12 pros also seemed to be towed down alot too, not from a guys own doing

I doubt that there are even 99 stock dragons around any more, all have had motors and/or fix kits. 11-12 pros were barely any better, 13's would at least last a decent season, 14 bit better again and same in 15. New Axys motor seems to be dialed pretty well as far as reliability.

Who would have thought that comparing the weight of two different length sleds, with different amounts of fuel in them, would turn into this. Especially, when most of the faithful to one of the sleds, said that weight never really mattered anyway...

Not bashing , but one thing doesn't' take sense to me is the talk of G4 being a more turbo ready motor and chassis, and then putting a smaller fuel tank on it ????? We Ride with a couple boosted T3's and XM's and they are packing gas now and on deep days borrowing more, rightly so, takes fuel for HP. 2 buddy cans on the tunnel I guess, but then no storage bag. The thinking doesn't seem to be consistent to me.

True dat , reason was I loved having the extra capacity but absolutely hated the seat , modified it twice and couldn't get it right. But I went back to 11 gallons , not 9 , if I would have boosted, I'd have left it on.

G4 is more turbo ready due to the injectors in the throttle body.
Will help reed life and cools the intake side of piston.

So do you guys then think BRP has made the motor turbo ready on purpose? Because I don't think they are building a sled's fuel tank based on what aftermarket turbo builders want?
