Chances are they wouldn't pass a mental stability or ability test to own one.

It's not particularily difficult to pass a "mental stability" test and still be completely insane. I mean a raving lunatic won't of course...... However the average sociopathic, and or sadistic killer probably could easily walk right through it without a hitch.

Just more levels of paperwork garbage to wade through...... to stop the....... oh wait.... Most true criminals don't walk into a gun store and purchase a gun. Their gun is illegaly sold and was probably shipped in from some other country also via illegal means. All the levels of BS you throw up will not fix the problem and simply punish those that were likely to never commit a crime in the first place.

As said over and over again you cannot purchase a fully automatic firearm in Canada anyhow..... and what happens south of the border can be taken up on an American forum. It's a different world down there with both the purchase process, legality, and ownership.

Creating more bureaucracy won't prevent any illegal activities and won't bring those back killed by the disturbed. You could not sell one automatic or semi automatic firearm on the North American continent and still have people killing one another with them acquired via the means I spoke of before.

You want to save the world? Get on the case of the policing of illegal firearms trafficing...... Then maybe you will have something. Otherwise you are trying to punish the many for the actions of the few. May as well "ban" everything that could be used to hurt someone else..... and live in a mud hut with a grass dress on......

But this is one of the most useless threads I have ever read on this site, thinking it will be going bye bye soon!!!

your right, more or less a useless thread, but it passed the day, lots of interaction, some posters where getting a little hot!!!, i'm thankful auto weapons are hard to get in canada, discussing ideas popular or not gets people thinkin, as long as you don't take it to serious, it's all good.

seems like a popular thread.,

can you classify driving a pickup down a road as hunting, i can't see the thrill, couldn't really call it hunting, more a drive by shooting i'm thinkin.

don't get me wrong, i have no problem with hunting, only i think it is more for the experience, than spraying lead all over till something falls down.

Who sprays lead all over the place until something falls down?

whats your point, you going to shoot a snowmobile at some to kill them. i'm sure ya got a better arguement than that. or do u?

Ban guns then criminals will kill with knives. Ban knives then criminals will kill with spoons. Ban spoons then criminals will kill with pencils. Ban pencils then criminals will kill with jacked up 4X4's with stacks. Ban jacked up 4X4's with stacks and criminals will kill with...wait a minute, they're criminals they will kill with whatever they get their hands on. Why are we banning all these inanimate objects?

so, just to keep it clear, i have nothing against hunting all for it, but if ya need a semi or fully auto what in hell are you doing. obviously your a lousy shot and all guns need to be taken away from you before you hurt yourself.

What part of you can't have a fully auto firearm in Canada did you miss?

Ban human beings.....it's the only logical solution!

I, for one, am not going without a fight. Sure glad I own guns! :D

i agree with your thoughts on the laws, crimminals will use what is handy to do there dirty business, knives hammers sticks etc. usually one on one, semi/or auto guns seem to be more victums, and no i don't condone any crimminal activity 1 on 1 or otherwise.

do we need semi auto / auto firing guns?

Who has auto firing guns?
