It was a "gun free" zone. Even with a CCW permit it would be illegal to carry inside. That's why he chose to shoot the theatre up rather than a cop shop, gun show, etc.

What good is a ccw permit if there are gun free zones? Where the hell are you supposed to put it in your car?

I think that packing should be legal for everyone as long as it is not concealed. CCW permits should be restricted to those that need them. If there were people packing in plain sight who would rob a 7-11?
