I’m an avid Arctic Cat hater and haven't darkened the door of a Arctic Cat dealer since 2005 and never even considered an Arctic Cat when looking for a SXS but I’m 6’4” and don’t fit in any SXS well. So after wedging myself into the options my wife insisted we stop at Arctic Cat and I'm the kind of husband that does what he's told. So we stop at the Arctic Cat dealer against my better judgment. I so avoid anything Arctic Cat that I missed the Wildcat hoopla. I walk into the dealer with as much enthusiasm as going to the dentist. Then bam out of the corner of my eye I see a sand rail. I turn my head and it's not a rail but it's not a utv either. All I know is I’m looking at the vehicle I was hoping the Honda Odyssey would evolve into back in the 80’s and I want it.
Then reality bites me it’s some kind of cat and I once bought an Arctic Cat I spent no exaggeration 4 out of 5 trips on my previous Arctic Cat tied to the back of a Japanese ATV. It got so bad I went to town bought a Suzuki so I could tow my own Arctic Cat back to camp. My King Quad was never the best at anything but did most things well. The most important thing is in the 7 years I had it we never came home on the trailing end of a tow strap. I also have no doubt that the #@$&ERS that stole it are still riding it; like they stole it.
Has the board of directors fallen asleep at Suzuki? Why is there no Suzuki UTV?
The question is has Arctic Cat addressed their reliability issues or are Wildcat owners going to spend a lot of time watching the backs of Rhinos and Teryxs at the end of a tow strap?
I would appreciate anyone who has seat experience in the Wildcat and those who tow them back to camp to weigh in.
