So since 1958 Quebec has received nearly $300 billion dollars in Transfer payments. In that same time period Alberta garnered $94 million. BRP is truly a Quebec success story, and it should be for what we’ve sent them. To reiterate, I think BRP makes great stuff. I simply hate rewarding such petulance on a national scale. Plus, I think about friends and family being hammered by actions such as Quebec killing Energy East. I guess I envy those with the ability to overlook this.

I find it rather frustrating that none of the industries that rely on oil are out there speaking up and representing pipeline/refinery expansion. Ford, Chev, Dodge, BRP, Yamaha, Toyota etc are all pretty quiet. These corporations have deep pockets and could help lobby the gov't. To not support one company because their province takes money....I don't know. Better ride your horse to work because there are other guilty parties. It would be nice to see BRP, because they are a big player in Quebec, be pro pipeline, not take the "No comment" status. Support the industry that fuels your product,

Ah you know how it is if you say you are pro oil and gas you are a right wing nut job that doesn’t care about the environment. It would be a dangerous business decision for a company to take a pro oil stance even though we know that it is a totally valid argument. Stay under the radar and keep on keepin on.. My feelings are the same as yours Clode.

Unless they have shares in the oil companies. Otherwise it's just a necessary evil to make there products go. Once E sleds are sitting side by side next to the 2 and 4 stroke machines it will be just one more choice for the end user.
Tabarnac, maybe these guys are right about BRP and Q-bec. Too bad Polaris and Cat sucks or id get one of those. Whats a guy supposed to doo....
I say buy and ride what you want... who give a chit why other people associate companies with politics. I know I don't. Look at how much flak B.C put up with TM and there is already a pipeline in the ground that moves oil to the coast as it is. All we're doing is adding more capacity to an existing corridor and that is such a short run compared to energy east. Am I going to stop holidaying there in the summer? No. Is being anti oil the viewpoint of most B.C residents? I don't think so. I would say it's special and political interest groups that rock the boat whether it be east or west coast.

I ride a skidoo because I think it is the best mountain sled out there. That is my personnel opinion and have no problem with other people having different opinions. I would definitely prefer it did not come from Quebec. But I am not willing to change to what I believe to be a lesser product over it. Also my skidoo dealer which is at least Alberta based treats me very well.
