if you have a jailbroke ipad, couldn't you just stream xbms through the atv3 using the built in airplay?

I like my Apple TV I just wish ya could hard wire it. Don't know if it would help my problem or not I'm not much of a wifi guy. But Frickin iTunes keeps disconnecting the homeshare function pia!!!

Me too, iTunes is a bloated pita. Which atv do you have? Mine a second gen and it has a Ethernet port.
