I would not let CVTECH fix a weed wacker motor. Sent them a buddies 08 800r motor, took them over a month and a half to fix it. We finally got it back put it in and under 80km a o-ring blew out in the head and it hydro locked bending the connecting rod. Took it out again sent it back to them and they said they would not cover it. Had to pay to get it fixed again and all the shipping and to top it off when we finally got it back the second time one of the crank case vents are broke off.

Short blocks don't come with the head installed so it wouldn't be there fault or did they assemble the complete motor for you?

They assembled the motor. It was supposed to be a crate motor that was all new, no problems with warranty.

I had sledhead racing do my crank for me. Trued, welded, and extra iso. A lot less than anyone else would do a 1000 crank for and it's running like a raped ape with about 500km on it so far.

Just put a short block in. You get the great warranty that way.
