The 9r rocked, the Cat was ok but lots of bogging and definitely needs some clutching, rode the 858 all day Sat and so disappointed, for those of you that haven't picked up your snow check, you may want to reconsider ha ha, its far too much money for the product being delivered, just my opinion.

That black sled sounds a like the clutching is a little better than the last vid of the 858. Be nice to see one side by side with an NA doo 850 expert with same size track. Its definitely not running with or beating up on the 9R, as it shouldn't. Everyone who has one seems to be loving them, so i guess that's all that matters.

I had a well clutched 2023 850 expert 165 last year it was neck and neck with my sons 850 Matryx 165. The expert had a slight advantage some times mostly due to to the doo track. My 9r was noticeably better than the 850 Matryx last weekend and the 9 r was over reving by 250-300 rpm so there is more to gain for sure.

Maybe this is the first one tested that has actually gone through break-in....

Everyone is so eager to review a new engine they are failing to wait until break in is over. There is no surprise the 858 will have sub par clutching and less then ideal tuning but for people to act like it’s a dud seem to forget Polaris and Skidoo don’t knock it out of the park right away either.

You guys gotta stop watching these wanna-be's on youtube who don't have a clue. Get these things into the hands of guys who know what they are doing with a sled and its a different animal. Tapio's have the kitty's dialed in, can't wait to see the Boondocker kits that get released for the new chassis.

Is Boondocker even still in the snowmobile game…?
