does low elevation riding effect engine longevity on a snowmobile designed for high elevation running and riding style?

examples.

clutching
engine cooling
operating rpms
cruise rpm range possible midrange lean spots etc

Im a driveway and mountain rider :beer:




I feel like I will break my sled on the trail or near my house, it cant be safe.

I ride my sled around home here too. probably not the best idea, but cant always get out to the mountains.

hahh good question,,, I have had 4 800r motors with up to 3000miles and I did NOT blow any of them up,,,


mountain riding at elevation 100%.....


p.s. I use same plan of attack as imdoon,,,, I like to get em just a bit wet then I ride em like I stole untill they bend in half....

Ride mostly mountains since i moved out here this year.

Next year will be different though, only making trips from sask.

520 miles so far this on my etec (have more on my other sleds but well just go with this one) 120 aprox at home and the rest out here.

Haven't touched a thing since i bought it just maintain and gas and go so far...

i only have 800 miles on mine, but i ride more field ditches than moutains but still get up there once and a while to play.....so far so good, but i know SFA about the mechanics of it all
