I can’t post a vid, but here’s a few screenshots of a dealer done service on my 16 Duramax. Never made it out of the parking lot before it puked all the oil onto the ground. Luckily I was just idling along and paying attention when the oil light came on. A guy should able to trust a dealer, but after this I don’t think I’ll be back. Cause was a double gasket on the oil filter.

Funny enough same thing happened to a friend. Made it 30km before his truck went into limp mode. Dealership showed up with a tow truck and wrote up an extra engine warranty.
I wonder if a Quicky Lube would do all that?

Kal tire for me. Didn’t tighten the drain plug. Lucky I only drove a couple of blocks to my shop. Nice puddle of oil.

I did a few oil changes on the wife's 2014 gmc 1500 5.3. Using ac delco filters and oil to make sure there was no warranty questions, Was in a pinch one day and took it to the dealership quick lube, it is a $8 difference for them to do it vs me.... And with them doing it there is a paper trail for warranty purposes.... So for that the apprentice can get a hand full of hot 0w-20 instead of me.

At least until warranty is up. Oil changes are covered as long as I own the truck, but once warranty is up I’m never going back. I don’t wanna go back now but I feel I should while it has warranty..

when I first bought my 08 Tundra we had a different dealer do the first oil change. After the guy put the oil in I noticed it was the wrong grade of oil. The guy argued with me but in the end I was right and they had to redo it

If you keep a record in that fancy book in your glove box, use the proper oil and filter and keep the receipts for them and do the service as scheduled they can’t deny warranty.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve done with the fuel filter, but with my luck they’d find a way to screw me.
