Send in the Goose! :d

Screw that! Absolute all the way! Mmmm...vodka water...mmmm

on sat heading down to the pass they had the highway closed for a couple of accidents and a roll over

Really? I hadn't heard of any accidents on there. I know on the 22 coming back they had some semi's and trailers blown right over. There was crazy roads just about everywhere.

HIghway into and out of golden was closed for quite a while. We stayed at the ski hill for the weekend and saw over a foot in the two days we were there. It was too deep to snowboard up Quartz on saturday, over the headlight pow. WAY too much fun.

That I was, we had a stag weekend and were hoping to get some turns in, wound up just burning gas all day, and digging out. Might have got 150 vertical feet on the snowboards all day. WAY too much fun.

you didn't ride the trailer in did you?

but when youve already done it once makes ya very aware of the chances of it happening again .... talking to peeps from down there later they apparently had it closed early afternoon as well.... so no ride on sat and ended coming home and making some cabinets for the garage

well if volker stevin actually had people at the turnoff from highway two
to tell them 22 was closed instead of tacking on an hour on to the drive
would of been home an hour earlier

Yeah, but that would be smart. lol

So I have a question now. I'm trying to think of what I would have done in that situation in my own truck with my sled in the back. As I said I looked at that hill and said "f**k no, not without chains".

I have an 09 silverado, with Toyo winter tires on it and I would have put my sled in my truck box. I have some pretty sturdy chains from Gregg's. I would have out one on the front drivers side tire and the rear passenger tire. Would that be good? What would you do to get up a steep skating rink road?

If you chain one front and one back your gonna have one front and one back without chains that spin....

and i thought this thread was about lezbo chics freakin out & imdoo'n checkin out the lezbo's, and tryin to pick them up.

I'd say get all four tires chained up. Ore just the rear tires?????

haha sorry to disappoint. We'll get back to the lezbo's n beer in a sec.

All 4 would be best, but if you just did the rear's you'd have no steering control. Let's assume you only have one set of tires. Would my suggestion work?

I would try and put a tire on the side of the road and try to get up the soft snow. Failing that, I would use every swear word in my vocabulary, and winch up.
