After speaking to several ppl they were supposed to launch a cross between m8 and m1000 perhaps a nine at 420lbs and 200hp. 17k for a 177hp sled is insane especially when you can add a turbo for 5k to a stock m8 and enjoy 250+ hp.

Maybe I don't know anything but from the factory a stock turbo sled is cool. I was hoping they were going to unveil a 200hp m8 at 420lbs that would have been incredible with a price tag close to the 2011s

Wow, you don't ask for much! Would you like it delivered too? A rub and tug at the dealership? A free hat and 6 yes warranty?

It would be nice if their online brochure was viewable..

So - if a stock sled is 175hp is this tested at elevation or sea level? I thought turbos produced insane #s? What is the weight on these new machines?

Apparently the m1100t is 80 lbs heavier than the last m1000 (whatever it weighed)

tht would be around the 550lbs mark, which where i would expect it to be. not sure what to read into it though cause they offer a 1100T with a 153 track. Is this sled really gonna be that nimble? The 800 i would expect around the 430-440lbs mark.

We all know the engines are good pieces, just wonder about the chassis.

HCR's are lookin badass though

Sure you can, however its still a boosted 2 stroke with high maintenance costs compared to a 4 stroke and it won't have a warranty.

As Cat never put up weights all a guy can do is compare old models if this works F8 sno pro wet in supertrax 568, z1 turbo in STrax 670 wet. So plus 102 lbs then take that to the 2011 M8 was about 460-470 dry so the 1100t should be 562-572 dry? Only a guess but I think 550+ is likely but take 177hp plus a chip and 220 hp for $16K not bad value.

so they ditched the m1000 what does that tell you?

They're retarded!!I was thinking of upgrading my m1000 but to what?A 800 that makes less horsepower or a 4 stroke that makes close to what mine was factory and weighs at least 100 lbs more!!!Plus was going to move my kids up to a couple of 600's but I guess I'll have to buy old stock or switch brands!!!All this waiting for cat seemed like a big waste of time!!!!!:realmad:

i know that you have cat envy godwell, and that if you got paid 25 buck an hour to look at cats on the net you could have bought one of them cash by now!

:d the 1st step is admitting that cats got the #1 sled for 2012 :d

if it's turbo'ed the horse power is the same at sea and elevation

Not worth the wait! I'm likely picking up a 2011 ltd m8 or new pro rmk.

Not worth that wait? Why dont you just come out with it and say I cant afford one... rather than trashing on everything? People will respect that more. If your a cat fan... I cant see why you WOULDNT be extatic over this thing... Hell Im a doo guy and I still think they did a good job! What the hell were you looking for anyways? A 400 horse 200" track that weighed 200 lbs?

ok can someone explain the math to me because its not adding up.

13 lbs boost.

powderlites was getting 11hp/lb of boost on the doo 1200.

so lets go conservative at 8hp/lb boost. fair?

8 x 13 = 104hp and from what i can tell this is intercooled aswell.

so this engine NA is supposed to make 123hp

123 + 104 = 227HP.

so either the NA engine is making 73 HP or there is not 13lb boost...or i am totally missing something?

because it seems more like 5-7 lb boost
