she really looks like she gained wieght, i'm thinking there might have been a few big macs and a bucket of chicken brought in the back door of her teepee every night.

Im native and love the snow. And without the white people being here we wouldnt have good looking squaws like you. And for that i am thankfull to the white man.

That made me snort a little! Bahahaha. I am an amazingly good Squaw Wrestler for a skinny white girl too :p Good on you for being an "all-inclusive" Native Indian :)

Subject: PRICELESS...

It's just dawned on me....

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.

He has his food prepared for him. He can eat whenever he wants.
His meals are provided at no cost to him.

He visits the doctor once a year for his checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise.

For this he pays nothing and nothing is required of him.

He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs and he is not required to do any upkeep.

If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.

He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.

He receives these accommodations absolutely free.

He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.

All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.

I think my dog is an Indian!

So here s a story ...a fellow pipeliner "white guy" broke up with his old lady and quit working. He said he was gonna get slammed with 2 g month from maintenance for his ex and 3 kids. So he took 2 yrs off work and says to me " the government can support her" the funny thing is even the lowest greenest on the totem pole so to speak would be hard pressed to make less than 8 g s a month on a pipeline gig. That being said not only "indians " take advantage of the system. And ya as a status indian myself, my gross last yr was around the 140 k mark and yes I probably paid around 40k in tax. It's so easy for people to notice an Indian on the riverbank but fail to notice his 3 white buddies right beside him.

Ya I agree but at the end of the day the traditional ones are employed by bands with jobs givin to them by a relative or a friend that has power or pull. The true traditional ones stay out of the media because they are too busy hunting or getting firewood . I have many relatives to this day that are still very traditional in their ways and live off the land. I grew up poor wanted to buy stuff in life so I went to work. I pipeline for a living and I see their point on pipelines esp in bc kinder Morgan ect but pipelines feed my family but fishing ect feeds theirs so... to be honest I despise the way our people govern that's why I'm proud to be a brown guy working in a white mans world

It is great that you are doing well. A cousin of my wife married a first nations guy and he has managed to straddle the boundary between being native and working off the reserve. Great guy and they have done well as a family. He has always pitched in and promoted positive change on the reserve and coaches the band on business strategy. I think the arrangement has worked well for everyone there.

To be honest a lot of natives are too afraid to get out of their comfort zone and go make an honest living. I am one of the richest in my family and my dad's side is full white. But I lived in my single cab truck for 2 yrs believe it or not just to make it. No government handouts ect just barely scraping by but kept my nose to the grindstone and good things happened. I get it I'm a rare breed but when your down in the dumps it's a tough climb to get back out...

This is the true esents of a man. You dug you heals in and made it happen for yourself. No one can take your hard work and success from you, your a self made man. Life is hard and sometimes even harder for some that fail, but I like to think that others will notice ones efforts and offer opportunity.
I myself like to see success in others that try. I’m willing to give that person a chance and help knowing there useful.
we are all born equal, sadly we are not all given the same opertunities. I know the difference between right and wrong, I know others have more or less then me.
I chose to work hard and be proud of my accomplishments. The one thing I hate the most is the race card or what has been taken from me card.
Step up and make a change, you did and others can to. Social assistance is there to help point people in the right direction or assist in aid....not using the system to live off of.
I am not happy paying my tax dollars to assist the dead beat dad that dumped on his children and ex regardless of what happened in there relationship.
People need to realize regardless of race or colour, go work for it and stop looking for handouts! Be responsible for your own actions.
Government also needs to stop handing out ribbons for last place and force the slackers to sink or swim.
