A buddy of mine just blew up his fourth engine in his 08 Dragon. All updates and "fixes" done.

Has anybody out there been experincing any problems with the new 2010 800 polaris engine?

They are Very lean at 5800-6500RPM and are rich on the top end. (Why do you think they are burning down all the time?) Get a PCV and run the program Dynotechresearch has for it. Without the programs stock it ran 144 HP with the program, richened up on the bottom and leaned out on the top end it was 155HP. Take it for what it is worth. I can copy the dyno runs it you want.

Is this on 2010's or sleds with the update? I know that was true with the old engine setup. Unfortunately I'm not a dynotech subscriber. :(

I hear yah! I changed my plugs twice... added octane booster.. and still the damn thing is going into safe mode??? (I was so p##### on the weekend I could have burnt it!!) Phoned up the dealer and the cause they figured is poor fuel quality... however they said there is another fix which is a $500.00 touch.. the solution add a Power Commander V to the sled??? WTF.. Wonder if the 2010 Assaults are having the same problems??

If your having mid-range stumbling issues have your dealer re-set your tps.had my 09 800 done and it cleared right up.Also check your exhaust bellows, mine were loose.
Now have to get the PC5 to clean up the top-end,way to rich.

the going into safe mode has to do with poor fuel. a lot of people are having trouble with coop fuel. i recomend running shell v-power.

Whats up with all the newer sleds now days ,we pay so much more for all this advanced technoligy and extra hp but it seems the we spend more time repairing these new sleds than riding why can we have the reliability of bthe old sleds with the advanced technoligy for the amount of money we pay for the new sleds

A buddy of mine had similar problems and it staged a check engine light. Would reset if the machine was turned off. Then it would run fine for a bit. Happened about a half dozen times before the day was done.
