Skidoo is in the same boat.

I know snow check sales around our area are dramatically lower than normal.

Last year’s shitty snow year didn’t help anything. We see some thing like that again and used sled sales will drop, dealers will have a lot of inventory

I won’t go Dawson crazy trying to beat a skidoo but have some plans with Benny to make it a ripper.

I got my 23 turbo up for sale and ended up
Grabbing a 25 freeride 146 n/a as with a young family at home its pretyy tough to get away for those 4-5 trips a year, so be bombing around home alot more, alot of my buddies due to the cost of kids sports and life in general the mountain trip money isnt there, local dealer was saying sno checks where under 50% of the last few years comaprison of 2020 summit x 154 was 15500 plus tax ,2025 freeride 146 was 20700 plus tax 2023 summit x expert turbo 154 was 23500 plus tax, when your approaching 30 grand otd for a top of line machine that has limited use manufactures have to realize in these times the price
Hikes have to stop

Once sleds hit $10 k it was game over for me,,, not long after the $65 dollar a night hotel deals disappeared ,,, fuel just jumped above a $ buck a liter and trail fees went up...

I bought a set of tracks for my atv then road alot of areas threw out Western Canada all season long...

Ohv tracks are ok but they won't go where sleds go...

I ran with this setup for 2 ish year's then switched over too all season mtb-ing...

I had slooooowly adapted over too different kinds of trails so long as i could find lost in the thick of things...

More blues skys and warmer temps,,, my back quit hurting now that I started getting some exercise...

6 and 7 1,/2 hour drives 1-way is too much for me these days...

I turned my sled hobby of muti thousands per year into a few thousand bucks a year and now I pull off hundreds of rides into the ruff at pennies on the dime...

The rising costs,,, time and efforts,,, age and everything else wore out on me...

Flat light in the winter months became too much...

This will be year 3 or 4 of all season mtb-ing and fat tiring threw out Alberta's blue sky country is what the doctor ordered...

A little over 200 and 240 days of blue in our area...

I'm racking up the miles and get away every weekend,,, its soon too be a full time job...

Pennies on the dime these days...

I loved sledding for all those year's but the time had come for change,,, I'd like too give it a go one last time but I'm afraid those days are gone...

Anyways,,, things got expensive and life decisions change,,, the 2 or 27 trips per year dosen't cut it for me now days...

It has too be a 365 day sport/ activity or I'm not in,,, and i like too keep my all in budget below the xxx $$$ funds...

The cost will continue too climb and I'll figure out ways too keep things frugal...

I'm on a 3 day adventure in the west country this weekend... Hopefully under $100 all in with distance...

Well with in my means,,, lawn chair and bon-fire time,,, catch a few trails with the bike and boots and call it good enough...

The more I travel the more I saved
