Any known issues with this 6.7 motor? Looking at an 11 or 12 and want to know what to watch for or avoid.

Turbo's, transmission leaks, steering, brakes, to name a few. We have numerous 2012-2015 f350 and f550 service trucks and they are literally pieces of shiat.

I have a 2011. Drw welding rig. Egr cooler once. And the exhaust crap plugged up. Been deleted for 40000km. No problems since.

Oh and the stupid rad leak that everyone one I know that had happened to them. Should be a recall. My wife's 2013 is leaking. Just been topping it up for the last Year. No warranty

And my wife's hasn't been touched (except rad). 110000km

Own a 2012 from new with 125,000 km totally stock. Haven't had one problem with it. Pull w/wo trailers heavy loads. Drag my 26' Ocean boat to the coast several times through the season and pulls like a beast.

Fill with fuel, change the oil and go. Only downside is the DEF which they all have now anyway. Oh, and the small fuel capacity.

Highly recommended!!

I have had a 2011 f350 and now a 2015 f350. Both king ranches and both awesome trucks. Like said before oil and fuel that's it. The service cost is crazy tho. Fuel filters are ridiculously priced.

Had a 2011 sold it at 100k had no problems, now have a 2013 with 140k had the rad leak at 50k no warranty, had the def tank heater go at 120k, did a complete delete all good now. Think this is a good engine, tranny etc.

Have a 2012 just turned over 200k and almost 8000hrs. Nothing but routine maintenance no problems yet. No emissions equipment since about 30k. Buddy of mine has a 2011 with over 350k and the only problems have been caused by the emissions equipment.

I had a 2011, sold it to my son at 340000, has 370k now, Rad, Exhaust sensor, Still a great truck.
The normal maint. is expensive but pays off.
Good Luck.

we have owned a 12 since new. has just over 191,000km. engine and what not is all stock other then a cold air intake since new. has a 3.5" lift. truck has only ever went to the shop for oil changes. fuel filters every other change. had a set of brakes done around 150,000km. really like the truck, great at towing with good power. just made a trip to valemount and it got 18l/100km pulling a 28' enclosed with 5 sleds. dont even really realize the emissions stuff is there. def gets filled at each oil change and never gets touched between. on the last trip to valemount the truck did a regen twice.

With the new trucks is there a significant loss of power during regen ?

No, you will notice nothing. Generally comes on when you are cruising down the hiway. Have had a 12 since new and love it. Had one issue with a sensor on the def system at 45,000 and put me in limp mode but other than that I put some new shocks on and air bags in the back. 66,000km on truck.

Ran a 13 for 100k of heavy pulling. Just traded to a 16 due to wicked trade value. Only issue was a rad leak. Great trucks

For you guys running deletes what tuner are you using? Thanks

I did an h&s in the 2012 not sure if they are still available. Buddy of mine just did a 2011 with an sct and a custom tune.
