I not sure why he didn't just man handle his sled around and follow his own track back out when he first realized he was making some big mistakes. Easy to say i suppose.

At first I thought this video was Darwin's theory at work... glad to see he realized his mistakes and I have to admit courageous enough to share the video for others to learn from. We've all made some bad decisions at one point or another. This video shows clearly the importance of trying to make as many "good decisions" as possible (e.g. always ride with a buddy, don't purposely ride off trail mountains in the dark, have a GPS, satellite communication, etc.) so if a bad decision does happen to get made its not fatal. It's not a video game out there and there is no reset button or instant health bonus points if you do get hurt all alone in the back country... make sure its up to you and you're prepared so SAR can have a night off with their families! Ride safe and have fun!

This guy was unprepared and inexperienced. The vid was a comedy of errors and a bunch of bad decisions. You could see and feel how all the small things were quickly adding up to a big dilemma. Haha. Good learning experience.
Of all things to call him, I would not use the term "inexperienced"
