If they are pricing them at 24k they will have priced themselves out of the market. They need to be priced lower than the Doo 850NA and Poo 850 if they have any hope of getting back any market share. 20-21k for their M Mountain Cat with Atac would be acceptable, make their base model a few grand less. Anything more and it will be Cat loyal customs only picking them up.

Sad we’re at a point where we are hoping to only 21K for a sled!

Not just for sleds but vehicles too. Everything got way to over priced during covid.
That’ll change quick. Right before Christmas. I passed up on a 24 King ranch F350 I ordered. 114 thousand at 6.9 %. lol keep it. Three other f350 came on that same semi and every guy walked from their factory order truck. I Put a small lift in my 22 and now I got a new truck again. Prices have to come down.

Yep and 3/4” lower.

Also Ibexx said their turbo 600 weighs the same as the stock unit right around 508ish full of fluids. I have no idea what the turbo 850’s weigh but if Ibexx can maintain that weight for the 858 it would make a turbo version around 505.
The 23 154 doo turbo expert we weighed wet was 545 lbs

I wonder how much the electric start system weighs on the new sled. Lightweight battery is cheap and easy, but more so the starter and added parts. This sled will also be for the wife and her pull starting it could be funny.
The e start is 22lbs
The battery is 13.5 lbs

Would that new cat be $8g better than the left over G5 I just bought? I think not.

Good price. Now install a turbo engine out of a Nytro in it and you have a sled.
Few nytro’s around cheap.

That pricing is from Dons Speed parts, buddy had a deposit for myself and him. They had 8 deposits total and both of us are getting ours back. Not looking good for Cat to claw back into this snowmobile game.

I will be ordering a 154 3” black base model. And go from there. Quite a bit of savings.

You get a price on it?

I was going to go with that as well and get the gauge but wasn't sure if that was an option.

Getting a price from Jerry at Wetaskiwin. I can pm you once I get it. The gauge will be as useless as the doo gauge. I have my left over 165 rail and track from 19 and will probably throw that in to start. Can always twin rail it also. A lot of the shafts from the alpha skid transfer over to a twin rail skid to cut the cost down.

I'm torn

I have a 20 hard core with qs3 coils

Never had good good shocks before ( just doo x shocks ) and don't think I could go back

Always figured the extra was gas money ect waisted on shocks

I'll admit dev-nt your right in the shocks

I would still spend the money on a better rear shock. The front skis won’t be on the snow very much with the 858.
