They should make it explode like a polaris/skidoo and then it will be comparable, like how the polaris/skidoo lovers don't talk about that!

How many clutches have you lost on your Cat? Its an honest question. Cat led the pack on cracking and exploding clutches going back to ‘18. Polaris is finally joining the team.

If they wanted to gain some more market share why not come out swinging and come in under what the competition is at? I no in tbe farming world guys dont switch brands when the price is the same lol gotta be a deal
Because they are probably going to sell out regardless. You don't discount something that is currently in demand. Doo and Poo are discounting because there is over supply.

And that is the whole issue.... Textron is the problem... clearly they could care less about the motorsports industry

the way they talk they should have beat skidoo to the turbo game

To be fair. Cats Clutch problem with the 18s cracking was minor compared to Polaris. And cat would replace your clutch and no question asked if there was even a hint of a hairline crack. It was a problem you could see with your eyes and way less random.

Sure, but even if it was a 1000 to 1 and they only had 1 to sell, you don't discount it....
I dont agree with you policy lol but to each there own cat will be like yamaha soon if they keep it up, they should want publicity and numbers on the snow to showoff there new product and then the product will speak for itself if it truley that good and that would equal more sales in the long run but what do i no lol

Snow Trax reviewed the ZR 858 and he said the power was smooth. He said it was the best engine he’s rode from AC.

The complaints on the mountain sleds power delivery seem to be tuning/clutching based more then engine geometry.

I agree. I’ve had 3 replaced over a 2 year period, all cracking. Out of warranty also. That’s a good dealer.
I’ve had 1 replaced from Polaris under recall in 2 years. That one seemed fine.

Not a one, still on the same clutch on my 2017 mountain cat at 2800km, 1700km on my sons 2015 m6000 and 3500km on my other sons 2020 alpha hardcore. Clutch maint and inspection is key to making any snowmobile clutch survive any kind of real mileage. You can't really inspect a bolt for when it's about to snap off. It's a bolt for christ sakes, polaris really needs to stop cheaping out on key components.

Maintenance has nothing to do with the failures on the 2018 and newer Team clutches. On that 2020 he better be keeping an eye on the outer face near the middle. The cracks start there. The covers crack too by the bolt heads.

Maxwell....BRP's biggest cheerleader! You remind me of those liberals who support Trudeau through everything.....

As far as I know, Cat and Textron didn't get government seed money (tax-payer bail outs) to keep them afloat in the early years, they had to make it on their own dime.
There's a company in Canada whose parent company was always at the public trough begging and receiving millions of tax payer handouts in the early years before they changed their name... I suppose you'll claim that none of that money filtered done to them during the tough growing years?

Are we really going to argue government funding to BRP all over again? You have been on this site for many years and should know better. 🤦‍♂️
