I feel bad for the club and operator ,,, this is a very unfortunate mishap...

Definitely a set back for the season...

It's going to cost a ch!t ton of money to extricate that machine from that situation. Just getting the equipment up there to do it is going to be costly. It's not a good thing any way you slice it

Yes, another groomer,,, a few ground mats,,, a couple of lefting stands or tripods in the 10 ton range each and it should come out easy...

Two 5 ton lifts might even work,,, depends on how boogged down it is...

We were lucky on our retrievel with a 45 ton crane and gin-pole truck,,, 60 + sheets of matting needed too get at it...

She was 20 ++ tons with ice and crap frozen too it...

Mustang might have their gin-pole cat at the lodge,,, there just down the hwy

I would imagine the trail will be wrecked on the way down dragging it or would they plow to the top and truck it out?

They’ll just pull it out with another groomer, happens lots outside the mountains, groomers go through the ice up in lake country in Sask. ours in Whitecourt broke through the river a few years ago. Usually they are a write off though after recovery

Supposedly two machines organized for tomorrow to attempt dragging it out .Thinking someone’s going to have to get wet to hook up properly

Dry suits. Probably some shoveling and sawing of ice and some winch power Won’t be fun job that’s for sure
