Lots of boats at up NSR west of Saunders. Anyone camping at Saunders Sunday evening is likely on the phone with their insurance company for a hail claim. I had 2 trucks out their that got damaged, and an additional 7 or 8 others at our camp got it. Awnings, skylights, AC units. Then last night some friends west of Penhold had fastball size hit them around supper time.

Over night trip on the nsr almost at the point where the north and south sask rivers meet. There’s a few class one small class two set of rapids that we had to go through yesterday. smoked a big rock in the last set before we called it a night. hopefully this unit is strong enough for the impact.
Had a few issues last time we slept in the boat but got them mostly fixed, However this is the worst parking spot ever. The boat is on too much of a incline and I kept sliding down the bed area and the waves hitting the side of the boat are super annoying.

I had my eyes opened up this weekend in some little boats, what a beautiful river system that upper red deer is from Glennifer up!

Little west and a lot south lol. Canal flats bc
What’s Columbia lake like? Inter web says primitive launch in canal flats. Any fibreglass prop boats out there? We are headed to fairmont any the end of the month and I’m thinking of dragging the boat down. I haven’t spent much time there in the summer. Mainly spring ski/golf season.

Was the kootney river in canal flats. She’d be a no go for props. But the actual Columbia down around Trail and Castlegar is good for prop boats. Pretty much all boats are props in there and has really nice launches. And walleye fishing is good. No limit on them if I remember tight as they’re an evasive species
