Fair bit of price difference, your used turbo doo off warranty is going to be $10000 also....

You can get that sled in NA for pretty close to the same price as the Polaris.

What do you consider mountain riding? Excepting point and shoot chute riders my guess would be that most mountain riders typically ride the same elevation range spread of about 1500' max per ride when playing (not talking leaving truck and riding 1000'/2000' to play area).

i dunno it seems the resale on Polaris machines is much worse then on Skidoo machines for some reason from what i can see in the used market anyways

Come trade in time it has been almost identical after 3-4 years for me. All the manufacturers sell off inseason sleds for a huge savings once February rolls around. Snow checked 3 in a row and my 19 was a non current (left over snowcheck) for huge saving around 25% off msrp and got 3 years warranty vs 4. Pretty sure this Polaris will cost me less over 3 years then any of the last 3 sleds that I paid the old snowcheck premium. I think the key is having a good dealer that will give fair trade in! I agree on the used market the doo’s bring a few bucks more but usually cost it up front too as the poo dealers will give better snowcheck pricing!

probably wouldnot consider newfound land mountain riding lol

mountain riding: on this mountain you start the day at 1500feet get close to 9000feet at the top of mountain.

Wow, still no answer for Skidoo’s last year Expert release. Now with this years turbo release, Poo is sucking hind titty. Like unless your all about what colour your new sled is.

Exactly, they still dont have a comparable sled to the expert, Now with the turbo addition they are 4-5 Years behind again. They are still a few years out from a turbo

Yep your correct, but when that spread is on average from 5000-8000ft there is big gains to be had with forced induction. Heck even 4000ft is a bigger Hp boost than youll get from any aftermarket bolt ons.

Revelstoke Frisby Ridge - 6000-7000ft + 29.7-34.65 Hp
Revelstoke Boulder Mountain - 5500-7000ft + 27.2-34.6 Hp

Sicamous - Eagles Pass - 5100-7400ft + 25.2-36.6 Hp
Sicamous Blue Lake - 6000-7000ft + 29.7-34.65 Hp
Sicamous Owleshead - 6100-7300ft + 30.2-36.1 Hp
Sicamous Queest Mountain - 6300-6800ft + 31.2-33.7 Hp

Golden Quartz Creek - 6300 - 7600ft - +31.2-37.6 Hp
Golden Silent Pass - 5300 - 8600ft - +26.2-40.0 Hp

Whistler ?? - 5200-7500 ft - +25.7-37.1Hp

Valemount - Westridge - 6200-8100ft +30.7-40.0 Hp
Valemount Allan Creek - 5000-7600ft +24.8-37.6 Hp
Valemount Clemina Creek - 5500-8600ft +27.2-40.0 Hp
Valemount Chappel Creek - 5900-7100ft +29.2 -35.1 Hp

What are you talking about? The Expert was put out to try and give advanced riders a machine that could compete with the AXYS in the gnarliest technical terrain. Polaris's direction is to lose another 5-6 lbs with the new Series 8 track and improve handling/ride even more with the Khaos shock package in order to stay ahead. The writing is on the wall to get the Matryx chassis in the mountain sleds next year to lose another 7 lbs. I praise BRP for losing 10 lbs off the hood as this is going in the right direction in the handling dept. The turbo idea is cool but the extra weight, shortened warranty and extra money is not worth it for most riding styles and locations.

BRP has done a great job with the turbo doo. I still like Axys chassis better. I think there will be some significant gains with clutching on the Doo turbo, so that will separate the gap even further.

That being said, my Mod polaris 850 on paper has a better power to weigh ratio than the skidoo Turbo. But, with all the mods, it costs just as much. Hopefully there will be a chance to really test these 2 head to head this weekend and see what the gap actually is.
