We rode part day on saturday. The rain earlier in the week went all the way to the top. We ran scratchers all day. thick Ice crust all the way up. Was everywhere we looked. The closer towards spirit lake was better but we don't know the way so didnt go further than we were comfortable with.
Any new snow will be very dangerous so be very careful!
Just talked to Hotrod and reload is on! He rode Renshaw yesterday (Wednesday) out to spirit and there was 16 inches of new and snowing lightly all day! Then he jumped in the groomer and did the trail and it was coming down hard when he got to the top. And still snowing today. Lucielle and Belle about a foot there. But please ride safe everyone!! Higgins.
Im thinking of heading up to Renshaw for Thursday or Friday... Maybe Fri, supposed to be mainly sunny. Temps have been cool, the snow should be good still... Anyone want to link up??
If Rod Wepleton, Adrenaline Adventures is still in business in Mcbride he is your local guru on areas.
I may have butchered his last name spelling a bit???
Went to bell had a good time my sons sled ate a weight in the clutch kinda sucked but got most of the day in. When at the cabin had to do a little search and rescue couple inexperienced guys. One guy left his partner and went to the cabin after about an hour we went to look for him and found the sled stuck then I found the guy walking down towards Lucille side burn. He couldn’t tell me where his sled was or where the cabin was.
We rode Renshaw today. We didn’t travel too far from the cabin and found decent snow. In the meadows was about 1 ft and lots of tracks but we still rode fresh. In the trees was 1-2 ft and still some to be found. The main routes are like highways, and it was socked in a little so we never went to the backside. Not sure how it was there. We were at Lucille yesterday, and it was so pounded (never seen it like that before) we wouldn’t go there unless they get a reload. Might go to Belle tomorrow.
