Was the other group the ones staying at the olive hut, some sled skiers?
No they were not rescued. Found their way to Olive for a stay, did some skiing and returned home the same way we came in.

Hey guys, curious when the 2nd parking lot is generally accessible without needing a tank or when the first parking lot can't be used anymore. Looking to head out there around Easter

All depends on weather and how the trail is holding up. I doubt it will be accessible by Easter, probably be parking at the 24 km bridge then. Pretty much deck season from now on.

We are heading out Friday Morning. Just have a double sled trailer not enclosed. Can we still park at the trailer pass shed?

You bet, might be some gravel patches to the 19-20km. Will be deciding Thursday if parking will be moved up a km.

Yes, trail is still being groomed until overnight temps stay above freezing. Then it's a losing battle

Yes, Forster is groomed really nice. The club does an excellent job every year.

-28 Not sure where the idea that these guys where rescued came from. It was a planned trip and the Olive hut was booked by them. Not hard to get to either. They did discover at that elevation one of those Turbo doos would come in handy when doubling up on ski rotations.

Thinking of going for some sun bathing on the glacier Thursday how's the road holding up?
