If you travel to Lillafüred (Bükk National Park) you should take a walk in the Anna Sinter Cave. It is a very unique cave around in Europe. The white heat delivered by the Szinva stream before thousands of years created unique sinter formations. You can see petrified leaves, spears, branches and moss curtains covered by sinter. Most of the smaller holes are come into being when the large trunks rotted in the rock.
The cave entrance is located at the hanging garden at the Palota Hotel, next to waterfall.
Tours starts in every hour with the minimal number of 4 visitors. It takes about 30 minutes and 200 metres. Trips are started without minimal number of visitors at 12:00.
Opening hours: 1st April - 30th September: 10.00 am.- 4.00 pm.
1st October- 31st October: 10.00 am.- 3.00 pm.
1st November - 31st March: one tour per day at 12.00 am.
Address:
Erzsébet Promenade 1, Miskolc, Lillafüred,
Groups (minimum 10 people) can check in variant times. Visitors have to make an appointment one day before going to the cave.
Telephone: +3646334130

We came to Hungary one time previously. 2015. It was my brother inLaws first year over seas.

We arrived in the spring about the same time
Of year.

Final round of the playoffs. We Arrive and went strait to the rink to checkout a game. Team was down 3 games to 0.

Long story short:

The team comes back and wins the championship and the fiesta started.

The fiesta continued for many days!

First victory in this town for any sport in 40+ years.

I celebrated like I was in the team.

But anyway, in this old hotel half way up the mountain, they have our partner in crime from the original fiesta’s old stick in the display case.

He has it labeled with his girlfriends nick name!

Yep.

We have been trying to get flights for the last 2 days.

Our original flights were with KLM.

They want $15,000 just to change our original flights. One way.

Been trying to just buy new flights. All the online sites keep glitching out when trying to submit the payment.

Airlines don’t answer the phone.

Thought we bought some new flights this morning.

Got a confirmation from the booking site. Credit card info entered at time of booking.

Confirmation letter says flights still need to be paid for. No link for payment.

Lufstasa recognizes the booking number but nothing charged to my card yet.

Not sure if I need to buy my 3rd sets of tickets to get home yet or not.

They also said that for those that can't arrange decent transportation home, the govt will help out with immediate funds of up to $5000 to help with extended living allowance if can't get back to canada within the time period, and go from there.

Sounds like that’s a loan.

Hungary, day 3.

The day got consumed trying to figure out some flight and insurance option.

Not much accomplished except dead phone batteries.

Went to a park for a bit to let the kids burn off some steam.
