got a 900at the farm and about to get a 600.
not every sled is about eyes watering behind your Google.
Sometimes quiet multistage power in one sled is required.
Amazingly quiet. Can talk while doubling without a headset.

Yamaha will no doubt be adding another 4 stroke to the 200 released.
I think an updated phaser.

they brought back the 540 2-smoke why not the 485, in a modern chassis it would be fun

I know where there are 2 of them. One of them BRP Banner Vernon/Kelowna owns it. Unfortunately not much is really BRP on it anymore. I believe Darrick at Banner has well over $40k invested in this thing last he told me and a basic much cheaper to build Nytro will give it a run and most likely tow it back....not kidding.
Its for sale if interested, i can get you the number LOL.

To make a Doo 1200 work properly and reliably you can almost fully build 2 Nytro's or maybe even 3 SW.

The yz250 is essentially a 12+yr old engine left unchanged, fairly clear they have abandoned the 2 stroke engineering

I think you would be very surprised how much the SW has cost in total.
But what helps me control the cost is i pay no labor or shop time. It is on par with buying a 2018 MTX with a 162 new.
The nice thing about these new Yamaha's, they really don't need much compared to the older units and especially other brands of 4 strokes to make them work.
Any big changes is all about personal preference.

Theres a 1200 doo built to 1400 in sylvan that dynoed over 400. They having trouble getting a fuel pump to pump enough fuel. Engine handles power with very little issues. I've been begging for two stroke Doo triple for years, however the engineers i talk to says it won't happen anytime soon. There is no doubt that the triple can offer superior power per cc. I think you will see factory turbo on smaller cc two stroke from brp eventually but that will be quite awhile from now.

Yup, they are completely capable of making big power. That has never been an issue, but at a high cost. One of their weaknesses is the primary clutch. Not too bad up to about 200hp but after that thing's can go sideways very quick, on top of being a tuning nightmare and typical BRP patented heating system. It was never design for those loads and BRP never intended it to be.
So for a reliable strong performance a clutch replacement is recommended. I don't remember what was used on Banners but it was around a $1500 touch i was told.

I think more people should throw a leg over a sidewinder and not be so biased. The sidewinder is a very capable sled that its ready to ride weight is close to a G4.
Dont even try to compare cats 1100 to the sidewinder cause there is none. The 1100 is a tank compared to the sidewinder.

The Sidewinder is excellent out of the box. Handles as good or better then my heavily modified 1100T, which has lost about 60 lbs, gained over 100 hp, and rides on aftermarket suspension with Raptors / Exits.

I’ll have to try a SW,I don’t find the 1100 bad to ride at all.

Theres a huge difference bud, I had the opportunity to ride a 1100 with a 240 tune compared to a viper with a 190 kit, same day same hard pack hero snow, The viper would kill the 1100, and the front end steering of the 1100 was horrible and it felt like a tank
The viper was a treat to ride it was way more agile and playfull. Seeing were the SW is now its even better imo.
My etec felt like a dog after getting off the boosted viper, lol.

sw and viper handle almost identical if you have a viper that's well set up. I have both and have put sw skis and steering post on my viper.

The biggest difference I found was the sidewinder is easier to hold a sidehill, my viper is a 2015 so probably due to the tucked spindles and change in spindle angle. I don't live to sidehill so the viper works really well for me.

You need the skis and steering post. When I hop back and forth on mine it's identical.
