We've been office bound for a couple days and lack any first hand photos or info, but a very trusted source just reported 20cms of fresh up in the Caribou's!

Who's coming to ride it?

Anyone with some first hand data or pics from today?

It’s spring in the valley! Local heli operations report 20cms of new snow in the Caribou’s (Allan Creek side) yesterday and they got another dose last night. A quick trip to Clemina this morning did not have this fresh snow but a look across the highway over to the Caribou range and you could see the snow line.

All access trails have full coverage as of now and staging is as it normally would be. Clemina has a few very small bare patches in the first couple of kilometers but nothing to fret about. We will continue to update with any major changes.

The warm temperatures are not helping the trail quality. We have had exceptional trails this season, but in this spring like weather, things are not holding up well and we appreciate your understanding of this, as we do our best to maintain the trails with the conditions given.

Sunshine and warm temperatures are in the forecast for the next few days. The alpine riding conditions are more similar to late April ride than late march, but we have been having some amazing “spring” riding. It’s still a great time to get away to RideValemount.

Sun is shining and it's spring riding at its best!

Both the Allan and Clemina trails will be hit with the groomer tonight.

Ride safe!

The countdown has begun for the grooming program as the trails are starting to take a beating with this heat.

Access is still good from the staging areas for now....

Allan and Chappell are only showing a few bare patches on the sun exposed parts of the trail.

Clemina is taking a hit due to the early season logging. Access from staging is good but the FSR to 4km is thinning fast and will not last long. There are a few long bare patches already. If necessary, one could by pass the bare patches by using the paralleling trail to 4km but its all still manageable. Trail is nice, smooth and snow covered after 4km.

As of now, all trails are still being groomed when needed and but that could change any day, so please keep checking back.

Alpine conditions are spring like for certain! Back of Allan Creek showed us the best times this weekend out of all the Valemount trails, but the weather has been pretty amazing making for great days on the mountain.

Ride safe
