My 2017 m8000 continues to stall going into reverse. I have the belt off. New reeds. Checked compression. Set throttle position sensor. Reverse switch ohms out properly. What else should I be checking I’m stumped and a lot of the forums I’ve been reading point towards everything I’ve checked. Any help would be great thanks

You put a different clutch or do anything to the primary clutch? I know the ski-doos if you take the ring gear off the reverse doesn’t like to work

Have you done any mods where you added any electrical controllers? I would try setting the throttle cable to spec make sure its not to loose, make sure idle is where its should be, check fuses, fresh fuel, shut off all accessories hand and thumb warmer etc. The next check would be ohm out the timing sensors. You can find a service manual on Country Cats website home page scroll to the bottom technical info. Good luck, it would be nice to know what the problem is please post findings.

I would guess that you have a cable out of spec. Probably over adjusted/under adjusted. The RPM will drop once you hit the reverse button, before going actually going into reverse.
So if it stalls going into reverse, how are you getting it out of reverse to run again??

When engine shuts off in reverse setting it automatically reverts back to normal direction once started again

Had this problem before and it was a flaky plug for the reverse button inside throttle block, got iced up bad one day inside there and screwed the plug up
