I did that in renshaw last year. Sucks don't it. Really try not to touch it and enjoy your cheeks freezing super fast the rest of your life.

Was Frickin wicked cold going across it yesterday. But at least you could see. Sunday couldn't see sh*t going across there but snow was way better then yesterday.

sean... Did you try trent's sled yet? Did you try the headlites? Quite a bit brighter than a stock doo headlite

We found one motofist glove and a tow strap in black case. We brought it down and left them at the ticket booth. Attached to where the beacon checker was. This was Sunday at about 3:30 pm.

Happy new year from the VARDA crew. The influx of riders over the holiday season mixed with cold temperatures and high winds from all degrees of the compass have left the alpine areas in desperate need of a reload. All of these factors have left some very hard snow and variable riding conditions in the alpine. Very hard windslabs with a concrete like feel can quickly give away to pockets of heavily deposited snow and this makes it hard to put any confidence on line selection in the big country. We have taken advantage of the stiff conditions and cold clear days by riding some pretty far off terrain doing a little exploring. With heavy snowfall warnings in effect for the Valemount area we are hoping to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Ride safe everyone and be sure to check in with the great folks at Avalanche Canada before you head out into the backcountry.

Clemina: Will be groomed again the evening of January 1, 2014. We will then be back on the regular schedule of grooming every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday as user number dictate.

Allen Creek: Will be groomed again the evening of January 1, 2014. We will then be back on the regular schedule of grooming every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday as user number dictate.

Chappell: Very low user numbers since the last groom. The trail is in great condition for tomorrow. PLEASE NOTE that the groomer will be heading up the trail early afternoon on Friday, January 2 to repair at a creek crossing and groom the full trail. Please watch for the groomer at all times.

Well en route again. Hoping the forecast for snow is happening at the moment. Rode Saturday and found good snow, buddy rode early this week and things were getting patchy... Anyhow hopefully she's getting the dump they are calling for!!!! Is it snowing in town Curtis?
