Sorry for the confusion, what I ment was lining up on a hill, raw engine power and the chassis climbing ability not rider.
I ve hit a rock at 40mph and it actually caught the lower a arm, it only cost 1000 bucks for a s module replacement and lower a arm, no damage to the e-module.

Fair enough, I agree that the Doo does feel like it has more grunt, the Polaris is more about balance and finesse.

I actually typed out an intelligent response but my computer/internet is not cooperating and of course it dissapeared. not sure that my small brain can retype that!

You never just hit something slightly or say I don't remember even hitting anything. Parts don't bend from non contact or glancing contact. Just sayin.......:D:beer:

I agree. Not a Pro anyways !! If you're on an XP though, all bets are off ! I've seen "glancing" blows on an XP do damage when any other brand of sled would have rode away unscathed. Like it or not, the XP is a weaker chassis than the Pro even though it's heavier. Superior engineering make the Pro both lighter AND stronger than the XP.

your eyes must be brown your so full of it.

now were all engineers and study the rocks and stumps we smoke and every detail about the incident. you must have a 50 page report to make that sort of comment.

and in conclusion.......the pro chassis is way stronger than the xp chassis because i said so. copyright High Velocity.

crash arguments are about as dumb as comparison arguments.

but you did use a big word "superior" engineering. it must be true

Here's what I tell people that say I can't believe there is that much damage from that rock, I hardly hit it. Take off your helmet, get your sled up to a similar speed that you were going when you hit the rock, now hang your head off the side of your sled and let the rock hit your head. See how much damage this does to your head. Remember that most people that make this argument actually have a head that is harder than the sleds a-arm.

I guess if your a he man and never hit anything with your sled your OK riding a Doo. But if your a Polaris riding fairy you might need a sled built out of tougher stuff!!!

we arent using crash test dummies against a flat wall. sled crashes are way to dynamic to determine which chassis is the strongest.

K we need those dudes from mythbusters, some ballistic Gel, a dead rotting pig or something..... .. Then we can decide..

Plausible... or Busted.....

Well I ride a doo, and it would sure be nice just to change a arm when i strike a rock or tree, and not have to worry about chassis damage, like most poo and cat owners. Jeez i remember a few years ago I saw a m1000 being limped into glen shop on it's belly pan with no arms left on either side, according to glen he was riding the next day. That probably would of wrote a xp or a rev off. Just pulling my sleds forward in my garage I can see the a arms moving on my xps.
yep brp charges us almost 2000 more for a sled and charges you more in repairs again.

I hit 2 stumps and a rock that sent me over the bars and never bent a a-arm, on my XP. I don't even know what I hit on my Dragon and bent a a-arm. I just stopped for a break and seen that it was bent. But that a Dragon not a new PRO.
