i dont think it will have to many issues. but there will be some.
1. 800r is on its 4th year now
2. chassis is on its 4th year now for 2011
3. etec has been around for a while.
that being said there will be some minor issues making it work with the sleds. so far it looks promising. i just dont care for it because i think its going to be a pain to extract additional HP from it. i could care less about fuel and oil milage the competition is going higher faster not who used less fluids. once there is some aftermarket parts and tuners for it i will pick one up forsure.
dont forget fireworks
Hey maxwell
Looking @ the dyno runs on Dynotech Research the other day. the new 800 etech broke the 170 hp mark......STOCK. They estimate a clean 178+ hp, once the power commander 5 comes out with the harness to match up to ECU.
Is that enough FIREWORKS for ya ??!!

where did you hear that exactly.
remember dynotech is at 800ft elevation.
800r motors have dynod at 152-155hp at around 2500ft
170 HP * .03 = 5.1Hp x 2 = 10.2HP = 160hp on a differant dyno
theres no reason the etec couldt make a few more ponies than the 800r. it wont be significant but it is more efficient it just makes sence.
but cant wait to see the power the aftermarket brands will be pulling from this engine with programmers and turbos and what ever else. time will tell.
There's no way that engine is putting out nearly 180 hp even with just a "programmer"...lol, yeah maybe @ -3000ft. That's more than like a complete power-up package from dynoport. Aisle 5, no doubt![/QUOTE
Maxwell thinks that if you dyno a sled at 3000 ft and its 160 hp it wil dyno at 175 hp at sea level.
