Anyways...seems we're all adults its good to see one manufacturer make a good product better, i hope its the trend for all 4 for years to come or what else do we have to look forward to right.

that is right,,, we dont all want the same ride,,,, and they all have there strengths.... well not the sleds I get,, they all seem to bend lmao:beer:

I just wonder why most of these threads always end up with someone always saying " my turbo this and my turbo that". Who cares........ If i wanted one id go buy one. They are an over priced pain in the ass, and from what i see most guys that have them would rather talk about them then actually ride them.

So the "summit drop" sled has not been released yet? Or is it the freerider one?

It is an upgrade to an already good sled. ETEC is the future for new 2 stroke sleds and meeting emisions. Kudos to Skidoo for making it happen.

If the summit drop sled has not been released what could make it so special? No way would they just give it a different decal? I don't see how they could improve the "drop" sled with just shocks or a different seat to make it that much better than the freerider one.

I used to ride an 08 xp for two seasons and i loved the chassis...Turbo'd 2010 M8 does it for me now but i dunno why there's still no 4-tec summit. I think it would be a good sled/platform for those who seek boost and for those who'd just like the reliability of a valver in the mountains...don't you guys agree? I mean you could easily take a renegade 4 and transform it but you got the extra work and $$$ to deal with. I think it would do wonders for BRP sales to boot...just my 2 pennies. I hope they do something like this in the next couple model years and the sled Gods know I would love to build a 300hp summit.

Come on BRP..Do it!...lol.

Just so ya know Maxwell I was just pissin on ya back there....didnt mean nothing by it dude. Eveybody has the choice to ride what they want as long as we're all ridin right? It's good to see passionate people in the industry.

Why does the skidoo site still have a clock ticking down until 10pm for the 2011 sled reveal?

I am happy with the changes, its not like every year a completely new sled will be released. As in 07 the 800R came out and for 08 the XP came out, now for 11 the 800 etec, so next year we could expect a model/chassis change. Just like years past as well even though the Rev was released in '03 the rev summit wasn't until '04. Every 4 years we could see a big change.

I certainly am happy there is no more ported track.

36 inch ski stance, should be fun for powder days!

I don't know if a spring order 2011 X is in my future, but it sounds appealing enough to replace my '09

especially if you havent upgraded to the 2.5 challenger extreme the 2011 would be a good sled to pick up.

The summit 2011 comes either as a carbbed p-tec or etec option...the etec was dynoed at 164 HP. I was there for the release and the sleds look rad...

All your guy's banter made me look up the site, and sure enough it crashed when the counter hit zero. Well, that doesn't bode well. Are that many people interested in the new line-up? I hope the tech weenies working on the sleds are better than the tech weenies working on the website.

I sure got sick of taking my 08 summit in for recalls and warranty work. It makes me hesitant to buy another first year production run.

Did they at least work out the bugs on the powerplant by having it in some other model for a while?
