Are snowmobiles supposed to be registered? I've got liability/fire/theft insurance on mine, but didn't think I needed to register it. The registration really does nothing for you, as it is not used on roads?! Is it something that is checked out regularly in Valemount?
Nice pics, Curtis!

I register mine ONCE.
It is an easy way to show proof that the sled is yours. As for renewing, well, I don't bother, since I don't ride in Alberta. I do however have my Licence plate in my toolbox that is on my sled.. Be nice to the RCMP, they are just doing their job. They will usually let you off if you are law abiding polite, smile, and not cocky.

To ride on crown land you are required by law to have current registration. Insurance is up to you, but you can be fined if you get caught without proper plates.

I believe in order to register any vehicle, you need proof of insurance. Anyway, my point was liability insurance does a lot more for you than registration. I do carry my insurance card on my quad, and sled for proof of liability.

Conditions are still amazing, not much time to play today, after shoveling out wood, outhouse roofs etc but many were out enjoying the fresh snow and relatively mild weather.

Pic dont near do it justice, I need a new camera............bad.....!

Allen and Clemina will be groomed up fresh tonight !

I have only heard that being enforced in Alberta. Myself I never heard of it being enforced in B.C.

Sorry, I'm off tomorrow, so that number won't work. All areas are still holding great snow. I would suggest clemina for your first trip in the area. Lots of area to play if the weather socks in. Follow the groomed trail up past the cabin to reach a large alpine riding area and simply drop back down if the vis is no good. I will be in the office at 8am on Wednesday if you need any other advice.

Well, we just got home. Had such a great weekend in Valemount. This town knows how to welcome sledders. Thanks to Varda for your efforts, it really shows.

Saturday we rode Chappell- bumpy ride in, but completely understandable given the cold weather last week. We played in an easy 3ft of fresh all day. It was a work out but real fun.

Sunday we punch up into Oasis. First time in and it is worth the effort to get back there. Probably a foot and a half to two feet in spots of fresh up there. Even had the sun peek out a us a couple of times.

Thanks again to Varda, we'll be back
