Sorry if I should of started a new thread but just had a quick question. Coming to Blue for the first time this weekend with a larger group. Was just curious if there are any maps of riding areas online or in town I could pick up? There are a few riders in our group with experience in blue but always like to do a little research on my own so I'm not dependent on others for worst case scenarios.

Current Temp. @2:00pm is + 1.2 C. Overcast....

We received Rain last Night....at 4am it was just pi$$ing here...it is Not Raining right now...

The Snow higher up is DEEP !

The Avalanche is ....

Alpine.....CONSIDERABLE

At Treeline.....Considerable

Below Treeline.......Moderate

Looks like there will be clearing this Weekend so the SUN is supposed to arrive !

Special Message from CAC ( Canadian Avalanche Centre ).......

DEEP persistent Slab Avalanches are becoming less likely BUT the Consequences remain Extremely High .

Diligence and Discipline may be required to RESIST Venturing into Complex Terrain even if there are No obvious Signs of Unstable Snow.

Pre-trip planning should involve talking to a Trained and Experienced Riders with LOCAL Knowledge to Determine if a Weakness of Concern has been Removed by Recent Avalanche Activity.

My Guests are Off the Mountain and are HAPPY to Report that the Snow is ....

" WAIST DEEP ".....and they are TALL....LOL

They also said that it Snowed there ALL Day !!

Rode blue last two days. Snow was excellent. Was really warm so the snow was very heavy. Snowed lightly all day today, so tons of fresh. Blue river is looking like it did in the old days, ten foot high banks on the highway.

The Snow has really set up nice they Probe it and sais there is a 8 Foot Base !!

It is supposed to Start getting Colder with more Snow on the Way !!!

Humm....I heard that they did not go into the Grail yet !

UPDATE !! Knock at the door and Guys are saying that they got into the Grail TODAY !!

They said it was go anywhere SNOW !

They also said they were sinking about a Foot .....

Ok.....

Conditions in Blue River last night were Brutal !....-28 C. ( I am Glad I don;t live in Edmonton -36 C. Wind chill -46 C. Muck Fee thats COLD !! )

Our Guests got dressed went to the End of the Road and Turned back WAYYY TO COLD !

It was Blue Bird Sky's Today and is supposed to be that way again tomorrow also.....

Our Current Temp. is -14.6 C. Crystal Clear Sky's
