2000 Indy 550 touring trail top speed?

I have a polaris indy touring trail 2 up and I'm lucky to get it up to 60-65 and it only has 2600 miles on it. My 400 is cranking out 85-90mph and my Yamaha 340 goes 60 so why can I only go 75 (if I'm lucky) on a hardpack trail? What should the top speed be?

it's a 550 touring so the gearing is for 2 people to ride it your 400 and 340 are probably 1 up sleds totally different setups

they are, but my friends 2 up is a 90's indy touring 500 LC and itll go 100 all day. just because of the liquid cooling?

Liquid cooled motors will be more horsepower than a fan. And to compare the two you would have to make sure the gearing is the same. Also track lug height will make a small difference.

your belt is wore out that will scub off the speed , track is out of alignment , skis are not set up right (toe out) windsheild is to tall the list goes on

550 fan? My parents have a Polaris Classic 550 fan (circa 2005) that only hits 58-60mph on the lake in pretty much perfect conditions for speed. That's all she's got captain.
