Forster is open and full on winter, parking at 23km bridge. Some donkeys parked at 27.7 last week and chewed the groomed trail up.
Trail was groomed on Monday.
Lots of gravel riding to get to Brewer, Rocky lower trail is dirt and rocks.

Rode Rocky today. Parked at 22km just past Kain creek turn off. Bugaboo has really good coverage still. Only 2 corners that had a few patches otherwise was good. The Rocky single track has a few small patches of snirt but still very minor and not a big deal.

Covered lots of ground today and toured most corners of the area. Only group in. Probed about 150cm so things are consolidating and dropping quick. Lots of cornice action coming down. The avy chute on the trail closest to the riding area came down while we were up top today. Pretty big pile of carnage that we had to cross on the way out.

I am hoping Forster will stay another couple of weeks as we are planning a ride the weekend of April 30th.

How's staging at Forster? Might skip off seeding for a couple of extra days this week and get a spring ride in!

We came down from Forster earlier today, first time there. drove to the 22.5km staging area near the bridge there. Only a few small gravely patches from there, access I bet is good for several more weeks, by then you might be up to the 27km lot. Was 5 trucks in total. Cloudy for the morning but got socked in and quite snowy / poor vis into the afternoon. We were riding on 4-5” of new stuff as we went down and was still coming down hard. Trucks had 3” of snow on it.

Anyone Stayed at or peeked inside the olive hut lately. Just wondering what all is in there for supplies. Stove? Foamies?

There is a stove and foam pads for the beds, I would take what you need.

Yup, the foamies and Coleman Stove we’re still there as of yesterday, along with a Few either things like plates / cups / cutlery etc. Although yes I’d bring what you need.

Cool spot tucked away, we tried looking for it and missed it the first time

Forecast is for heavy snow and socked in. Take a GPS and track your route. A group called s+r this year because they couldn't find there way down.
